As an experienced Bodily Injury Liability Claims Adjuster , you will review injury claim information, complete the investigation, and resolve the claim. This requires strong organizational abilities and empathetic interpersonal skills. You will also be responsible for on-going communication and for providing status updates to the insured and others associated with the claim activity.

Senior Bodily Injury Claims Adjusters take a leadership role in sharing their knowledge and experience and help mentor other Adjusters. Successful candidates will be self-motivated and be able to learn and adapt quickly to Assurant policies and procedures. They will be computer literate and comfortable working in a paperless environment. In addition, they will enjoy working with customers, be effective at listening and communicating, and have confidence in resolving issues and negotiating fair settlements.

The Director of Accounting for the Service Optimization Solutions, Inc. (“SOSI”) Service and Repair (“S&R”) business unit will lead the day-to-day accounting for the S&R business unit and will ensure that the financial statements, footnotes and all supporting schedules related to the S&R Business Unit are fairly stated in all material aspects in accordance with U.S. GAAP.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform and manage day-to-day general accounting. Ensure complete, accurate and timely accounting deliverables in accordance with procedures, accounting and policy guidance, and applicable regulatory agencies.

  • Perform and supervise the accounting team in completing monthly and quarterly financial reporting tasks, including recording of journal entries, analytical reviews, account reconciliations, as well as potential inquiry and follow up with operations teams over accounting issues and procedures.

  • Assist in the elimination of intercompany transactions between SOSI and other Assurant entities.

  • Assist and provide guidance to the system integration team, with regards to specific accounting requirements.

  • Hire, train, and supervise accounting staff.

  • Understand and promote an environment of effective controls, as well as company and regulatory requirements (i.e., SOX, record retention, audit, etc.).

  • Build relationships throughout the organization and continually strive to identify ways in which areas of responsibility can assist the business and corporate segments to achieve their strategic goals.

This role will require someone who can work with multiple parties throughout the organization and will support the reconciliation work being performed by others across the global accounting teams. Additionally, this role will support service level compliance and metric reporting for both on-shore and off-shore resources.

This position will work alongside internal leadership to drive transformation, cultivate a culture of continuous improvement, support system integration efforts, and promote ongoing learning and engagement in a fast-paced Finance & Accounting Shared Services environment.

Job Description

The position is responsible for managing Teva's Global Compliance & Ethics ("GC&E") Monitoring Program and provides the support needed to program stakeholders.
