Anderson Hospital company history timeline
Anderson Hospital has grown into Anderson Healthcare! The small hospital that opened in Maryville in 1977 has continued to grow and add services, evolving from a single hospital into a regional healthcare network.
He served 32 years until retirement in 1978 and was followed by Charles A. LeMaistre, M.D., who continued the great work begun by Clark.
1988: Name changed to The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center to incorporate the worldwide name recognition associated with MD Anderson.
Breaking ground on the $14 million project in 2013, the upgrade and renovation included a new emergency department, laboratory, materials management department, and patient registration.
