Position Summary
The Package Engineering Co-Op will work closely with full time engineering and packaging staff to become familiar with the wire manufacturing support process as well as the tools, techniques and thought processes used in the industry. While completing the Co-Op, students will be exposed to many types of manufacturing directly related to the packaging and wire industry. Assignments may center on projects devoted to improvements in operation efficiency, scrap reduction, and problem solving.
Key Responsibilities
* Will work with Packaging Engineer to develop production and design standards
* Work with Packaging Engineer to support and resolve customer concerns and process problems related to packaging
* Will work with Packaging Engineer to develop and optimize package testing protocols

Responsibilities Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) Leadership
Serve as a TPM subject matter expert, driving implementation of MCC's TPM pillars (Focused Improvement, Autonomous Maintenance, Planned Maintenance, Early Equipment Management, and Skills Development).
Partner with plant leadership to design and execute site-specific TPM deployment roadmaps and maturity assessments.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, Facility Management, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum 10 years of reliability, maintenance, or operations experience in a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated expertise implementing Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) or similar reliability-centered maintenance systems.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

The Process Engineer is an individual contributor that will be responsible for specific production units on the Garyville site.
