We spend a great deal of our time online. Whether it's for information, commerce, or entertainment, each of us has come to depend on what we research, discover, and share. Publishers - those who create and curate content - are what makes the Internet great. Yet these publishers practice their craft largely alone, in siloes - without reference points or insightful understanding about where they sit in the grand scheme of things.
To add to the challenge, once a Publisher's content is in the wild, then the task of building engagement, growing a loyal following and enriching the engagement with that following can sometimes feel like shots in the dark or worse, a black box.
Moreover, making money from their craft can be a complex task for any independent publisher who might prioritize generating content first and money second.
Sovrn believes that independent publishers are the Internet's vibrancy.
As a partner and advocate to tens of thousands of independent publishers, Sovrn provides tools, technologies and services that help publishers (a) make money; (b) get distribution to grow their audience; and (c) access a massive data commons providing extraordinary insights.
The landscape of content networks, adtech vendors, and the myriad of buy-side / sell-side companies can be a complete maze for any reasonable person to decipher.
Sovrn cuts through the noise and simplifies things with a basic, straightforward mission:
Help content creators do more of what they want to do - and less of what they don't.

Staff Product Manager, Developer Platform
The Trade Desk 4.2
Denver, CO job
The Trade Desk is changing the way global brands and their agencies advertise to audiences around the world. How? With a media buying platform that helps brands deliver a more insightful and relevant ad experience for consumers -- and sets a new standard for global reach, accuracy, and transparency. We are proud of the culture we have built. We value the unique experiences and perspectives that each person brings to The Trade Desk, and we are committed to fostering inclusive spaces where everyone can bring their authentic selves to work every day.
So, if you are talented, driven, creative, and eager to join a dynamic, globally-connected team, then we want to talk!
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
THIS ROLE IS NOT FOR EVERYONE: This is a highly technical Product Management role where you'll spend your days embedded with senior engineers, reviewing CI/CD pipelines, analyzing build times, mapping out complex dependency chains, and optimizing developer workflows. If you can't confidently discuss git merge strategies, explain the trade-offs between monorepos and multi-repos, or understand what happens between "git push" and code running in production, this role will be extremely challenging.
Our mission is to build the internal developer platform that powers The Trade Desk's engineering organization. We own the tools, workflows, and infrastructure that our developers interact with hundreds of times per day-from the moment they check out a repo to when they ship code to production and perform ongoing experiments.
We're looking for a technical Product Manager who has shipped products TO developers, not just products WITH developers. You should get excited about reducing build times by 30%, streamlining the code review process, or reimagining our local development environment. Your customers are senior engineers who will quickly lose patience if you don't understand their world.
The Trade Desk Product Team hires courageous, passionate PMs who set big goals and execute them. We help you grow and challenge you with hard, meaningful work. We celebrate our successes and learn from our failures together. We value and develop strong leadership, asking our PMs to take on ambitious and often ambiguous projects that promise to extend our lead in the industry.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
Our teams own the software development life cycle at The Trade Desk - from the first day of a new developer, to the first discussions about a feature, to coding and debugging, through deployment into our global data centers, and all the way to A/B Testing and Experimentation. Our goal is to build tools, frameworks, automation, and processes that help our developers focus their time on delivering customer value.
You will roll up your sleeves and dive deep into the problems our developers face every day. This means shadowing engineers through their entire workflow, analyzing bottlenecks in our build pipeline, investigating why code reviews are taking too long, and understanding the friction points in our deployment process. From this hands-on research, you'll synthesize insights into a north star vision and strategic roadmap for our developer experience.
On a typical day, you might:
* Shadow a developer through their entire workflow to identify friction points
* Analyze metrics showing a 20% increase in build failures and work with platform engineers to diagnose root causes
* Facilitate a technical deep-dive with senior engineers on container startup times
* Write a technical specification for improving our local development environment
* Review user research showing developers are context-switching 47 times per day and design solutions to reduce interruptions
* Present a monthly roadmap to engineering leadership, articulating technical trade-offs and timelines
Your responsibilities include:
* Understanding the needs of our Trade Desk Engineering Team through direct engagement, user research, and data analysis
* Defining our developer experience (DX) strategy and building the roadmap to get there
* Owning key areas such as: local developer environment setup, source control workflows (checkout, build, merge), code review processes, cross-team code stewardship, and deployment automation
* Establishing the right metrics that measure developer productivity, satisfaction, and velocity-then using those metrics to drive data-driven decisions
* Partnering closely with engineering, platform teams, and other stakeholders to deliver high-impact improvements to our SDLC
* Evaluating emerging technologies (including AI-assisted coding tools) and determining if/when they should be integrated into our workflows
This is a strategic role within the Trade Desk Development Platform organization where you will be leading deeply technical projects and providing hands-on leadership in a complex, fast-paced environment.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:REQUIRED:
* 7+ years of Product Management experience shipping developer tools, platforms, or infrastructure products at enterprise scale
* Proven track record shipping products where software engineers are your primary customers - not business users, not external consumers, but developers
* Deep working knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC): You can articulate the challenges and best practices across local development, source control, CI/CD, code review, testing, deployment, and monitoring
* Experience conducting technical discovery directly with engineering teams - you don't need engineers to translate for you; you can hold technical conversations with Staff and Principal engineers
* Demonstrated "working backwards" from internal customers to build long-term strategies and solutions that measurably improve developer productivity
* Proven track record of partnering with engineering teams to solve complex, technical problems and delivering large, impactful software projects with measurable business outcomes (e.g., "reduced deployment time by 40%," "decreased build failures by 25%")
* Excellent communication skills: You can participate confidently in very technical conversations, drive consensus and commitment across teams, and crisply communicate delivery timelines, trade-offs, and risks to senior management
STRONGLY PREFERRED:
* Background in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Developer Productivity, or Developer Experience organizations
* Experience with metrics-driven optimization of developer workflows (build time reduction, deployment frequency, change failure rate, etc.)
* Hands-on familiarity with modern development tools and workflows: IDEs, source code repositories (Git/GitHub), build systems, containerization, deployment frameworks
* Understanding of AI tooling in developer workflows (GitHub Copilot, cursor.ai, MCP servers, agent frameworks) and how they impact the SDLC
* Durability and grit - sometimes solutions take creative thinking, multiple iterations, and staging while dependencies solidify. You try many different approaches to find the right answer
* Enthusiasm for all things developer tools, DevOps, emerging technologies, and a desire to stay on top of industry trends

[LA JOBS ONLY]The Trade Desk will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories for employment in a manner consistent with the requirements of the Los Angeles Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring, Ordinance No. 184652.
[SF JOBS ONLY]Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.

Senior Site Reliability Engineer - Infrastructure
What you'll do:
* This is a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) position, responsible for the reliability, performance, and efficiency of The Trade Desk systems and applications. You will participate actively in all aspects of designing, building, and delivering reliable infrastructure and tools for our clients, partners, and employees.
* The Trade Desk infrastructure is "hybrid" both in operating system (Linux, Windows) and environment (bare metal, cloud). An SRE should be well rounded and "technology agnostic" with a pragmatic approach towards the best tool for the situation. You will have the opportunity to support thousands of hosts throughout the world, with petabyte-scale data challenges.
* Participating in an agile methodology, you will work closely with your teammates to monitor capacity, replace manual workflows with tools/automation, and evangelize scalable long-term solutions to technical problems.
Who you are:
* You have a passion for efficient operations. You've made significant contributions to large and impactful technical projects. You think beyond just the task at hand to deeply understand the 'why' behind what you are doing.
* You can code. At our scale we are not interested in "boutique" manual management of servers and software. This is an engineer position, not an administrator or operator. You code with languages such as C#, Python, Go, Powershell, or Ruby. When a problem needs a software solution, you roll up your sleeves and get to work.
* You design for scale. You manage cattle, not pets. In other words, you understand that the only way to scale is to avoid special snowflakes of systems and applications. You design systems to auto-scale and auto-heal. Via automation, you relentlessly strive to eliminate manual toil.
* You are a broadly skilled engineer with an interest in service reliability, automation, monitoring, and/or capacity planning. But you have the breadth of knowledge necessary to support a wide variety of software and systems.
* You understand modern architectures. You know why Docker and containers are more than just buzzwords, but you are cautious against overcomplexity and overengineering. You are able to use traditional configuration management such as Chef, Ansible, or Terraform as well as modern infrastructure schedulers like Kubernetes and Mesos. You enjoy working with the latest monitoring and metrics platforms such as Prometheus.
* You are comfortable working on physical gear or in the cloud. Our hybrid environment requires objective knowledge of infrastructure, equally comfortable with traditional, physical servers as well as the software abstractions present in cloud platforms such as AWS.
* You work with confidence and without ego. Our engineers have deep knowledge and exercise a high degree of leadership in their daily work. You have strongly-held, defensible ideas, and advocate for what you believe is right. You are also adept at identifying and evaluating trade-offs, willing to be proven wrong, and quick to walk through fire to support your fellow teammates. You often have strong opinions but weakly held.
* You value, seek out, and foster diversity. We are a global team from many diverse backgrounds, with different experiences and perspectives. To complement this team, you will welcome ideas that are different from your own and be skilled at finding and building from common ground.
* You are a creative thinker, not bound by "the way things have always been done". What you know is less important than how well you learn and innovate. We don't need engineers who know all the answers; we need engineers who can invent the answers no one has thought of yet, to the questions yet to be asked.
The Trade Desk does not accept unsolicited resumes from search firm recruiters. Fees will not be paid in the event a candidate submitted by a recruiter without an agreement in place is hired; such resumes will be deemed the sole property of The Trade Desk. The Trade Desk is an equal opportunity employer. All aspects of employment will be based on merit, competence, performance, and business needs. Principal Product Manager, Inventory & Real Time Bidding
We are looking for a driven Principal Product Manager to run our real time bidding (RTB) connections and capabilities who learns fast, who is humble and values teamwork; who is hungry and believes they can contribute to a better Open Internet. We're looking for someone fluent in RTB and the nuts and bolts of how digital advertising works. The ideal candidate will be technical, data-driven, creative, business savvy and have previously created products that had genuine impact.
We are looking for someone who is growth-oriented and able to strive for product-market fit with their teams. The kind of person who joins The Trade Desk Product Team is fearless, courageous, passionate and willing to dream big and then execute on it. We are committed to helping you grow, challenging you with hard, meaningful work and celebrating our successes and failures together. Yes, we do fail at times because we believe risk is part of making big bets. So, we take the risks and learn from them. We also value strong leadership, asking our PMs to take on large, ambitious, and often ambiguous projects that can help extend our lead in the industry.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
The Trade Desk is dedicated to the mission of supporting and growing the Open Internet. In this role you will drive products within our inventory supply team at The Trade Desk.
You will own the vision, roadmap and execution for these products. You will work across a breadth of products within our inventory and bidding stack that have API experiences, data science models, data engineering pipelines, and high throughput decisioning capabilities. You understand how data flows through a Demand Side Platform from the time a device has an impression opportunity on a publisher, the supply systems send a bid request, a DSP responds, an advertisement is purchased, and subsequently measured. You are an expert in RTB protocols and have strong opinions on how to make them better. Your work will have a direct impact on the way internet advertising operates globally both within and outside of The Trade Desk. You will start small, test, learn and go big. You will collaborate with cross-functional partners in other organizations, while also displaying the ability to "show up senior" in frequent executive forums. You will work with agencies, advertisers, publishers, supply side platforms and be able to navigate between them fluently. We value relationships and trust building in our team. We look for win-wins when working with publishers and partners. Your technical and business skills should complement refined soft skills and a passion to build and be a part of a highly effective team.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
A track record of product leadership achieving audacious business goals involving advertising technology.
* 8+ years of advertising technology Product Management experience where you demonstrated a sustained track record of driving contributions to impactful projects.
* A deep understanding of RTB advertising protocols and standards, such as OpenRTB and Prebid.js. You have a drive to make these technologies better.
* An understanding of the internet and how advertising operates on top of it at the most atomic elements.
* You have hands-on experience at a technical level within one or more key channels like Display, Video, Connected TV. Experience in Audio and Digital Out of Home is a plus.
* A nuanced technical and business understanding of open internet inventory quality measurement techniques and technologies
* A strong understanding of how ad servers are configured and how various supply-side yield optimization strategies work.
* Understand how decisions on inventory impact the customer experience within a DSP, campaign delivery and performance
* Analytical mindset and skills to dive into the data using SQL-based tools to find insights. On your own for quick insights, but also leveraging partnership with data science and analytics teams for deep analysis.
* A passion for protecting and growing the Open Internet.
* A proven track record of partnering with engineering teams to solve complex technical problems and delivering large and impactful software projects.
* Excellent communication skills, including the confidence to participate in very technical conversations, the ability to drive consensus and commitment, and the ability to crisply communicate delivery timelines, trade-offs, and risks to senior management.
* Durability and grit -- sometimes solutions take creative thinking, multiple iterations, and staging while dependencies solidify.

Sovrn Holdings 4.1
Sovrn Holdings job in Boulder, CO

Help content creators do more of what they want to do - and less of what they don't.

Software Engineer II - Price Optimization & Bidding
The Trade Desk 4.2
Boulder, CO job
The Trade Desk is a global technology company with a mission to create a better, more open internet for everyone through principled, intelligent advertising. Handling over 1 trillion queries per day, our platform operates at an unprecedented scale. We have also built something even stronger and more valuable: an award-winning culture based on trust, ownership, empathy, and collaboration. We value the unique experiences and perspectives that each person brings to The Trade Desk, and we are committed to fostering inclusive spaces where everyone can bring their authentic selves to work every day.
Do you have a passion for solving hard problems at scale? Are you eager to join a dynamic, globally- connected team where your contributions will make a meaningful difference in building a better media ecosystem? Come and see why Fortune magazine consistently ranks The Trade Desk among the best small- to medium-sized workplaces globally.
About the Role:
The Performance Automation team is dedicated to developing optimization tools that enhance our clients' advertising campaign outcomes, ensuring they meet or surpass their Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
You will be working on enhancing machine learning model development; creating the tools and frameworks that allow for quicker iteration and refinement of models by data scientists, from creating ETLs that process petabytes of data to experimenting with novel model training architectures. You will be responsible for integrating models in our bidding infrastructure, where low latency and high performance are of paramount importance; your code will be running millions of times per second on datacenters across the entire globe.
You will be also working on developing and improving debugging and analytical tools for monitoring and adjusting the bidding system in real-time. Utilize these tools to quickly identify and address any issues, improving campaign efficiency and ensuring effective use of budgets and resources.
Our Software Engineer II team members will participate actively in all aspects of designing, building, and delivering products for our clients.
We have dozens of mission-focused teams working across a wide spectrum of technological challenges. You will have the opportunity, depending on your interests and aptitude, to work on large-scale distributed systems coordinating thousands of servers in cloud and physical data centers around the world, petabyte-scale data challenges, machine learning, advanced visualizations, and interactive user interfaces - to name a few.
Trade Desk Software Engineers contribute to more than our product - they build up our team. Through a combination of mentoring, technical leadership, and/or direct management of small teams, they make others better and raise the bar for those around them.
Who We Are Looking For:
Skills and Experience
* 5+ years of demonstrated success in software development within high-scale enterprise environments.
* Hands-on experience with multiple platforms and technologies, including: PyTorch, Tensorflow, Spark, .NET Core, Java, SQL Server, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure
* Excellent understanding of Agile development methodology and development practices
* Understanding of designing Service-Oriented systems.
* Exposure to Machine Learning concepts and frameworks (a plus, but not required).
* Experience in building distributed systems and microservices.
Key Attributes
* You have a sustained track record of making significant, self-directed, and end-to-end contributions to large and impactful software projects. You think beyond just the task at hand to deeply understand the 'why' behind what you are doing.
* You understand engineering fundamentals. At our scale, many off-the-shelf techniques and existing technologies (open source and enterprise) simply don't work. You are able to work from first principles to evaluate solutions and adapt them to a unique environment.
* You are a broadly skilled engineer, accustomed to developing web services. You have experience building always-on systems, working across a variety of technologies and service layers.
* You have a product-focused mindset. You have the passion and ability to contribute to the process of discovering what will delight our clients and push forward one of the world's largest and most influential industries toward a vision of openness, transparency, and evidence-based decision-making.
* The position will be located in Boulder, CO and we do require Engineers to work under a hybrid office work attendance.
Variety of technical opportunity is one of the best things about working at The Trade Desk as a software engineer which is why we do not expect you to know every technology we use when you start. What we care about is that you can learn quickly and find solutions to complex problems using the optimum tools for the job. What you know is less important than how well you learn and innovate. We don't need engineers who know all the answers; we need engineers who can invent the answers no one has thought of yet, to the questions yet to be asked. Senior Site Reliability Engineer - Infrastructure
The Trade Desk 4.2
Boulder, CO job

QA Engineer
Sovrn Holdings 4.1
Sovrn Holdings job in Boulder, CO

Boulder, CO job
