Spa receptionists provide telephone support for spa employees in hotels, resorts, and other private spas. Some of your duties as a spa receptionist include answering the phone, forwarding calls, taking accurate messages, greeting guests, cashiering, offering tours of the spa facility, and organizing appointments. You will also notify staff members of any customer cancellations or the arrival of any unscheduled visitor. Your employer may entrust you with other light clerical, administrative tasks such as opening and sending mails, filing, data entry, and letter and document preparation.
In a service-oriented setting, the spa receptionist is frequently the first person that guests see. This is one of the reasons why excellent customer service skills and an outgoing attitude are advantageous in this role. The minimal educational requirement is usually high school graduation; however, a receptionist certificate can be beneficial. The average salary for spa receptionists is $36,095 per year.
