Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field (must be completed within 6 months from date posted)
6+ months of full- or part-time software engineering, system design, development, deployment, and testing experience
No more than 5 years of relevant experience
Software engineering skills in C++, Java, Python, web development, and/or scripting
Familiarity with principles of software system design, development, deployment, and testing
Familiarity with software development processes, including revision control, peer reviews, and documentation standards

Project personnel work a nominal **8-week on, 3-week off rotation** .The Alternate Site Superintendent's secondary role will be as the primary technical point of contact and on-site supervision for one or more of Serco's construction subcontractors.
**In this role, you will:**
+ Manage the jobsite IAW project and EM 385-1-1 requirements.
+ Work with and lead a team of 8-12 on-site construction management and execution personnel.
+ Be familiar with project specifications and drawings.
+ Be familiar with the project Primavera (P6) schedule.

What Your Job Will Be Like
Sandia's artificial intelligence (AI) team is building the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) next-generation AI Platform, an integrated scientific AI capability that delivers rapid, high-impact solutions for national security, science, and applied energy missions. The Platform is based on three pillars: Models, Infrastructure, and Data. You will join the Data Pillar team to design, implement, and operate Sandia's AI-ready, zero-trust data ecosystem. Join the forefront of national security as a highly motivated and experienced R&D Mechanical Engineer with the Ballistic Missile and Air Delivered Tester Development teams. As the premier test equipment engineering capability for the Stockpile Surveillance Program, we play a critical role in ensuring the safety, security, and effectiveness of the U.S. nuclear weapon stockpile. This position offers a unique opportunity to learn about the U.S. Nuclear Security Enterprise, nuclear weapon design and function, and the role of Sandia National Laboratories in the nation s nuclear deterrence mission.
On any given day, you may be called on to:
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to distill customer requirements into functional designs, ensuring that all aspects of the product realization process are addressed.
* Design and implement test bed assemblies that will experience various mechanical environments, including centrifuge and shaker table test environments, as well as explosive containment assemblies (boom boxes).
* Engage in solid modeling using Creo to create conceptual designs that meet rigorous testing standards, including vacuum testing and assessments under extreme thermal conditions.

Education/Experience: Graduate of an accredited Veterinary Technician program or a Provisional/Registered Veterinary Technician.
