NDE LEVEL II INSPECTOR, RADIOGRAPHY INSPECTION (RT) The NDE Operations organization at SpaceX is an inclusive, interdisciplinary team that is committed to providing high-quality inspections of flight components and production assemblies. The breadth of exposure as an NDE Level II Inspector is immense, as the organization is responsible for a large diversity of inspection types across Falcon, Dragon, Starship, and Raptor programs. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Executing Quality Control processes associated with purchased product, manufacturing operations, and customer quality requirements. * Inspection of printed circuit boards / assemblies (PCB / PCBAs), verification of electrical, electronic, and electromechanical (EEE) components, and cable assemblies. * Inspection using calipers, height gauges, thread gauges, and VMMs (Vision Measuring Machine). * Documentation of inspection activities using electronic information systems, written logs, and labels. * Assist in the development, maintenance, and improvements of inspection methods, inspection plans, and internal quality procedures and processes. * Assist with the resolution to internal/external nonconformance using root cause, corrective action, and 8D methodologies. * Assist in data analysis and reporting of department metrics as required. * Assist with the continuous improvement initiatives. * Assist in the resolution of audit findings, observations, and recommendations. * Assist with the control and disposition of non-conforming material (MRB). * Drive scheduling of day-to-day processes; ensure timely and accurate turnaround. * Other QC duties as assigned. JOB REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * Associate degree in a technical field preferred. H.S. Diploma or equivalent required. * Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience including a minimum of 2 years of experience in PCB/PCBA inspection required. * Experience with AS9100 or ISO9001 Quality Management Systems. * Experience with microscopic visual inspection. * IPC-A-610 / J-STD-001 certification. * Experience with ERP and PLM software systems. * Proficiency with reading engineering documents, CAD drawings, and detailed work instructions. * Strong digital, written, and verbal communication skills. * Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures. * Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with others in a positive and collaborative manner. This is a full-time onsite opportunity based out of El Segundo, California. Some travel is also expected. RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for conformity inspections, including parts, assemblies, test setups, test articles, and installations according to FAA regulations.
