2015

Responding to the smallsat industry’s growing demand for routine, reliable access to space, Curt oversaw the purchase of a SpaceX Falcon 9 in 2015 to expand Spaceflight’s launch services to include dedicated rideshare missions.

In 2015, Spaceflight Services, Spaceflight Systems (formerly Andrews Space), and Spaceflight Networks, were consolidated under the Spaceflight Industries brand.

2018

SSO-A, Spaceflight’s first dedicated rideshare mission, is scheduled for November 2018 and will carry more than 60 payloads.

The Current Market According to industry experts, by the end of 2018, the market for smallsat lunches is predicted to reach approximately $1.7 billion.

2019

LeoStella opened its production facility in February 2019.

BlackSky’s planned constellation of 60 satellites — with many spacecraft on orbit by the end of 2019 — will provide frequent revisit rates of more than 95 percent of the Earth’s population.

2020

In 2020, Spaceflight Industries sold its rideshare business, Spaceflight, Inc. to Mitsui and Yamasa.
