Leadership has the right to alter or modify the duties of the position. * Processes renewal CMN's 60 days prior to expiration. * Updates TIMS CMN file with updated information when completed form is returned. * Answers physician's questions related to insurance documentation, as appropriate. * Daily prints and sorts the TIMS spool file for all CMNS created in the daily batch. * Daily reviews all CMN's for accuracy prior to their delivery to area physicians' offices. * Organize CMNS for daily mailing or delivery to physician offices. * Once CMN's/orders are completed and returned by appropriate physicians, reviews for completion and qualification of insurance benefits. * Enters information from returned CMN into TIMS CMN file (e.g., diagnosis, start date of DME, return date of DME). * After information has been entered into TIMS, forwards paperwork to Data Processing-Imaging Clerk. * Works with A/R Specialists and other SMS Caregivers to obtain and ensure accurate insurance information for patients. * Utilizes Diver to identify non returned CMNS for resubmission every 60 days. * Open and sort incoming CMNS from US mail, internal mail, physician offices. * Assists in tracking and providing follow up to physicians for all outstanding CMN's. * Communicates with patients/customers when necessary to obtain missing/incomplete information for proper documentation. * Adheres to Corporate Compliance Policies, including but not limited to current Medicare regulations. This is a Full Time 12.5 hour shift position working Monday - Friday 6a-7:15p and 7a-8:15pm; flexibility on start and end times is required to meet department needs. Also includes occasional Split weekend coverage.     General Purpose of Job: Clinical Exercise Physiologists are responsible for the safe and effective patient care in the areas of Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation and cardiovascular stress test. They are responsible for ensuring that all evaluations, assessments and treatments follow the appropriate clinical guidelines and that all Exercise Physiologists are properly trained to perform their duties effectively. Essential Duties: * Responsible for ensuring an excellent patient experience. * Consistently exemplifies on-stage behavior. * Displays a high level of organization and is capable of effective and efficient multi-tasking. * Administers new patient evaluations. * Ensures that individual treatment plans are completed, approved by medical director, implemented and adhered to for each patient. * Work in conjunction with RT, RN or EP to ensure continuous monitoring of patient EKG and/or oxygen saturation, blood pressure and pulse. * Administers regularly scheduled educational components. * Administer graded exercise testing, which includes, obtaining patient history, medications, illnesses, cardiovascular disease risk factors and exercise history, explanation of testing procedures/significance and safety precaution issues with patients, attaching tracers on the patient, instructing patient, operating necessary equipment and producing accurate tracings; recognizing and identifying problems during testing and notifying the physician according to procedure. * Performs all clinical procedures and patient treatment based on CMS, AACVPR, ACSM or other governing guidelines. * Ensures that all necessary actions are completed and documented correctly. * Ensures that patient status/progress is regularly communicated to referring physician. * Educates, instructs, and verifies competency of staff on proper administration of clinical procedures, fitness testing and biometric screenings. * Ensures that all procedures are accurately billed to the appropriate patient. * Ensures that the facility and equipment is clean, safe, and functioning properly. * Supports and serves as a role model for our mission, vision, values, and customer service initiatives. Adheres to the organization's policies & procedures, and compliance guidelines. * Attends staff meetings and in-service programs as required. * Performs other duties as assigned. Job Requirements General Requirements • BLS certification Work Experience • Minimum of 6 months previous experience in exercise testing or clinical exercise treatment. Education • Bachelor's degree in exercise science, kinesiology, health and fitness or related field.
