Essential Job Functions * Teach all assigned classes and hours as determined with class assignments. * Plan for instructional activities to include, but not be limited to, lectures, class discussions, demonstration labs, and projects. If credentialed or certified, maintain all certifications and satisfy all requirements of the professional development plan. * Attend all meetings, ceremonies, and official functions as specified by the Program Chair or the Campus Academic Dean. * Adhere to published company guidelines in all matters concerning dress code. * Perform any other duties, as assigned. Qualifications Education and Work Experience * General Education Faculty must possess a master's degree or above and appropriate coursework with a minimum of 18 semester hours in the area of their teaching assignment. * Must have, at a minimum, a master's degree for ACCSC schools or a bachelor's degree for COE schools with appropriate academic coursework and preparation in the subject area(s) taught. * Additional desired Faculty qualifications: * Teaching experience * Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software * Strong oral and written communication skills * Strong attention to detail Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Therefore, the person must have the written and verbal communications skills to constantly update other departments on the progress of students and alumni on an individual and collective basis, and the customer service skills to quickly and professionally resolve problems that could impede career progress. Essential Functions Student Relationships and Skills Building: * Introduce new and continuing students to Career Development and guiding them through the general employment process. * Educate prospective students or visitors about the services available and provided in the department. * Conduct, maintain and update student records. * Coach students individually and in groups on job creative search skills, resume writing, interviewing techniques, etc. * Maintain contact with all students within three months of graduation through job placement, with engagement efforts weekly to ensure active placement services. * Maintain record in Student Information System of outreach with students. * Work closely with pending graduates to ensure the completion of exit requirements are met.
