    FLSA Status: E Days of Work: 210 SPARTANBURG SCHOOL DISTRICT SEVEN, SOUTH CAROLINA , MARCH 2025 JOB TITLE: SCHOOL TECHNOLOGY SUPPORT SPECIALIST Days: 210 DISTRICT OFFICE GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB Under general supervision assists the Director of Technology with maintaining and support staff, and performs related work as required. Reports to the principal. SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Physically moves and relocates computers, monitors and printers. Assign and collect student devices. Maintain accurate records of technology devices in inventory system (1 to 1 Plus). Report and package devices for warrantied service/repair and perform repairs or other maintenance within warranty specifications. Serves as the initial contact and first level of support for information technology service and support requests. Oversee basic technology issues including installation, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of information technology hardware and software. Supports students, teachers and office staff with school technologies. Assists with computer-based standardized testing. Set up classroom technologies or other audio-visual equipment including for special events. Operates a variety of equipment such as a computer, printer, copier, calculator, telephone, etc.; uses clerical, copier, computer supplies. Interacts and communicates with the Director of Technology and coordinates with the media specialist, assistant principal other District administrators, staff, and school administrators. Model appropriate technology use and care for students. Performs special projects and work for the Director of Technology and the Chief Operations and Technology Officer. Attends training, seminars and conferences, and consults with other technicians as necessary to maintain and enhance job knowledge and skills. ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS Performs routine administrative/office tasks as required, including but not limited to preparing reports and correspondence, copying and filing documents, answering the telephone, entering and retrieving computer data, etc. Performs related duties as required. MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE Requires high school diploma or experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Must possess a valid state driver's license. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS OR STANDARDS REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Physical Requirements: Requires some lifting work that involves walking or standing some of the time and involves exerting up to 60 pounds of force on a recurring basis, or skill, adeptness and speed in the use of fingers, hands or limbs on repetitive operation of mechanical or electronic office or shop machines or tools within moderate tolerances or limits of accuracy. Operate small equipment related to grounds work and turf care. 6. Keep athletic fields in pristine condition. 7. Set up and stripe fields for band, football, lacrosse, and soccer. 8. Must be able to lay off fields for football, lacrosse, and soccer. 9. Keep district equipment related to your site in good working order. 10. Police grounds and take care of trash pickup on a daily basis. 11. Maintain a good relationship with fellow workers, Athletic Director, and Coaches. 12. Have or be able to obtain within six (6) months, a CDL. 13. Obtain and maintain chemical applications regulatory requirements. 14. Assist with installation of small landscaping projects. 15.
