Job Summary
We're seeking an adaptable, confident, empathetic Radiology Technologist who is able to provide quality diagnostic imaging for patients and providers at Sanford Health. The Radiologic Technologist is able to work in all atmospheres including clinic, hospital, ED, and OR settings where there are a broad range of fields like fluoroscopy, surgery, orthopedics, general, and emergency for the Radiologist Technologist to work under. One of the characteristics of a Rad Tech at Sanford is the need for precision, which is important in this line of work because the providers need quality imaging to give diagnoses to their patients. Sanford Radiology Technologists employees will have opportunities for advancement into other modalities including CT, MRI, and Mammo.
Responsibilities
* Performs diagnostic imaging examinations on patients ensuring the production of quality diagnostic images
* Ensures accurate patient positioning during radiographic procedures according to provider requests
* Implements radiation safety guidelines and conducts proper radiation protection practices during the imaging process
* Ability to understand and navigate the electronic medical record (EMR) system
* Perform basic diagnostic radiology tasks and aware of general radiology protocols
* Perform mobile imaging, electrocardiogram (EKG), cardiac monitor placement, and dual energy x-ray absorptiometry (DEXA procedures)
Qualifications
Completion of an educational program accepted by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required.
Working knowledge of diagnostic radiographic principles, including radiographic positioning, film/image processing, quality
control, and radiation protection is required.
Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required.
If working in North Dakota and performing medical imaging or radiation therapy procedures, licensure with the North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Board (NDMIRT) is required.
If working in South Dakota, candidates must obtain their ARRT certification within 60 days of hire.
In the state of Iowa, all technologists must have a permit to practice through the Iowa Department of Public
Health in order to practice in the state of Iowa
If working at some clinic locations, a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification may be required within the first eight weeks of hire into the position.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six weeks of employment and re-certification as necessary is required.

About the Role:
A Technical Specialist is sought to join Fermilab's Long-Baseline Neutrino Facility (LBNF) and Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment (DUNE) Project team in Lead, South Dakota. The LBNF/DUNE Project is hosted by Fermilab in Batavia, IL, with participation from universities and laboratories from around the world. The project includes the construction of a beamline and near detector at Fermilab and a large underground detector at the Sanford Underground Research Facility (SURF) in Lead, South Dakota. Over the next several years, LBNF/DUNE will design and construct one of the largest proposed neutrino experiments in the world.
Under general direction and based on academic training, extensive expertise, and/or experience in a laboratory technical function, the Technical Specialist provides complex technical support for the Far Detector and Cryogenics subproject of LBNF/DUNE. The role includes evaluating and implementing new technologies, coordinating technical operations, and leading technical teams in support of detector installation and operation activities.
What your day-to-day as a Technical Specialist at Fermilab will look like:
Work one mile underground on a rotating shift schedule (12 hour days with 10 days on and 10 days off, rotating days to nights every two months) A shift differential is paid for second shift.
Perform tasks at elevation using scissor lifts and other access equipment.
Coordinate and execute the movement of detector components within the cleanroom and cryostat using cranes, hoists, trolleys, winches, and related tools.
Support installation of infrastructure for both FD1 and FD2 including network systems, detector safety systems, electronics racks, cabling, and communication systems.
Participate in the cabling and electronics testing of all detector components, including testing in cold boxes and in-cryostat systems.
Maintain and install mechanical infrastructure such as cable trays and flooring systems.
Operate material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, scissor lifts, and detector-specific systems for large component movement.
Lead or coordinate design, fabrication, testing, calibration, and maintenance of highly complex equipment and systems.

Title: Trimmer/Advanced Climber Type: Full-Time/Non-Exempt Reports to: Foreperson/General Foreperson
Essential Functions:
Trims and/or removes trees by climbing with the aid of a ladder, safety belt, climbing line, powered trimmer lift truck, or works from the ground using saws/pruners. Will cut branches or trunk sections and drops or lowers them to the ground with lines.
Uses appropriate tools, will fell trees or trimmed trunks and split them into manageable pieces.
Sprays stumps and brush with hand-spraying equipment to prevent further growth.
Loads and unloads trucks with logs, stumps, brush, and debris and/or feeds brush into a wood chipper.
Repairs slight damage to lawns, fences, and walks caused by tree trimming.
Relays hand-signals, directs traffic, drives and operates trucks and equipment as assigned, and keeps trucks and work area clear and orderly.
Trains new employees on proper procedures.
Safeguards employees and public from hazards in and around work area. Cooperates with customer, police, and fire departments when blocking street or driveways. Sets up barriers, warning signs, flags, etc. to protect employees as well as the public. Trained to perform tree and bucket rescue.
Assumes responsibility for the inspection and proper working conditions of tools, trucks, and other work equipment. Requests repair or replacement of equipment when necessary.
Works around hazardous equipment and in close proximity to energized power lines.
Works around excessive noise from machines, chainsaws, wood chipper and must wear proper personal protective equipment.
Is exposed to all temperatures and weather; will be exposed to nature, i.e., irritating plants, biting or stinging insects, dust, etc.
May work on rough terrain.
Helps enforce on-the-job safety practices for crew members.
Services truck, chipper and equipment, maintaining them in a neat, clean, and specified mechanical order. Reports the need for equipment and truck maintenance to crew lead.
Performs other related duties as required or assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
Has a minimum of 12 months experience working on tree trimming or clearing crews and/or has successfully completed applicable performance reviews.
Must have a basic knowledge of trees, including identification, growth habits and correct arboricultural techniques for the trimming, pruning, repairing, maintaining and removing, as applies to working in close proximity to energized conductors.
Enforces on-the-job safety practices.
Must be able to wear necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Needs to be able to enter and exit a vehicle numerous times per day.
Must be able to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather while completing work tasks such as rain, heat, sun, cold, snow.
Must be able to write, read, and comprehend written and verbal job instructions/information.
Must be able to communicate with others and represent Wright Tree Service in a professional manner.
Possesses the ability to lift, move, and maneuver up to 50 pounds on an infrequent basis and up to 30 pounds on a frequent basis.
Ability to work long hours and overtime during emergencies (including holidays, weekends, storm work) and will be subject to call-out work.
Ability to operate and service all required tools and equipment.
Must have valid driver's license (dependent on Division and utility/contract requirements) and be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
Maintains a herbicide applicator or operators certification and license as required by Wright Tree Service and local, state, and federal law.
Must have valid First-Aid and CPR cards.
Must complete and pass an Advanced Climber Performance Review.
