This is a site-based Wind Technician opening for a wind farm site near Spearville, Kansas. This is a local position so no relocation assistance will be offered to non-local candidates. Although previous wind turbine maintenance experience is preferred, this opportunity is also available to mechanically/electrically inclined candidates with transferrable skills looking to join the wind industry. Responsibilities Always maintain a high level of safety awareness. Climb heights 300 ft. and greater several times daily. Diagnose and resolve faults on turbines as they relate to mechanical, electrical and hydraulic problems. Preform troubleshooting to identify the root cause of an issue and preform corrective actions or open a service case with equipment manufacturer.
