Pros of working at Spec's

Casual atmosphere and dress code. Good co workers

Cons of working at Spec's

Zero basic health insurance, starting pay $12.00, cashiers/ front end associates are the lowest paid yet work the hardest. They work the register, front and dust shelves, sort and stack boxes, take out the trash, clean bathrooms including toilets, sweep and mop floors. Cashiers are mostly women and cashiers are heavily supervised but not the sales associates. Store discount is 5%. Which doesn’t even cover sales tax.

How would you improve Spec's's culture?

All employees should be wearing Specs uniform shirt not only the cashiers The wine sales associate should dust and front their area since the sales associate gets to claim wine incentives/ kickbacks. Liquor sales associate should dust and front the liquor area since that sales associate gets to claim incentives/ kickbacks. A cleaning company should be hired to clean all Specs stores professionally. Larger employee discount to show appreciation of employees. Raise cashier pay to start at $15. Specs makes hundreds of thousands of dollars a day

I do not knowledge of other liquor stores but a person can make more working at McDonalds
