Assembler (Specials)
Overview
Assembler will be working on special assigned production line and will be required to follow SOP for specific job assignment. The specials assembler will work on special orders that require more attention to detail and is required to meet specific deadlines.
Responsibilities
Verify materials being used is correct by reading the bill of materials Ensure materials meet quality expectations Label units as needed Door assembly is more complex and higher-level skill is needed Ensure quality is meet Assembles fabricated parts to relatively large or heavy subassemblies and complete units Tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job Verifies that components are being placed in the correct position per SOPRepeats tasks until assigned other duties Cleans up work area when shift ends Maintain a safe and clean work environment Other duties as assigned
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment Solid verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail a must Strong analytical skills & knowledge of all door components Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to multi-task Read and understand bill of materials Must be able to read a tape measure and have basic math skills Must be able to lift up to 75+ lbs.Efficient with multiple manual machines and pneumatic equipment such as Nail Gun, Screw Gun, Router, Tape Measure, Square Required to stand for long periods of time May involve some repetitive motions - bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling of parts and part containers Ability to organize and maintain detailed records Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to multi-task Read and understand bill of materials Due to the open environment of the facility, must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions to include extreme heat, humidity, and cold Must demonstrate solid teamwork abilities Regular attendance and timeliness is an essential function of the job in order to avoid having any disruptions in production and customer service. Follow all operational and safety SOP's as written

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred not required1-2 Years in the field or related area Requires an understanding of quality door construction standards and the use of proper assembly techniques Prior door manufacturing or wood working experience needed
