Job Description
The Manufacturing Engineering Technician II (MET2) performs all aspects of automated manufacturing equipment repair, troubleshooting, calibration, and preventative maintenance procedures on equipment. This position also assists engineers in developing and refining manufacturing processes. The MET2 must be able to work effectively under limited supervision. This position reports to Area Group Supervisor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Uses the PLC to diagnosis and troubleshoot electronic devices
Performs the following electrical tasks:
o Identify/test/repair circuits up to 480 volts
o Wiring
o Troubleshoot integrated circuits to board level
o Interpret schematics
o Understand common industrial electrical components
· Diagnose and troubleshoot vacuum systems and sensors
· Troubleshoot heating systems
· Injection molding experience
· Possesses a working knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics including the theory of regulation and flow, valve configurations and troubleshooting, and purge systems
· Possesses mechanical knowledge including fastener applications; the ability to read and modify mechanical drawings; is able to use power and hand mechanical tools; understands basic metallurgy; understands how to replace motors, diagnosis of motor drive systems and basic fabrication.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Minimum educational requirements includes a technical degree or certificate. Minimum experience includes 3 years manufacturing experience preferably in a high-volume, applicable industry. Working knowledge of PLC's inputs and outputs, pneumatic adjustments, common engineering testing procedures (DOE's, PFMEA's, etc.), engineering documentation and reports.

The Powertrain Battery Manufacturing Engineering Manager will be responsible for leading a team of engineers in executing Powertrain equipment at Lucid. The Powertrain Battery Manufacturing Engineering Manager will work closely with Logistics, Manufacturing Operations, Facilities, Product Engineering, New Product Introduction and other cross-functional teams to ensure Powertrain equipment is properly designed and installed.
You Will:
* Coordinate and manage daily activities including but not limited to resource loading, monitoring design and build progress, and communicating issues to appropriate stakeholders.
* Lead engineering efforts for equipment designs, execution and resource planning between different Powertrain projects.
* Participate in core team meetings, generate action items and follow up with team members.
* Coordinate interdependent tasks and deliverables with other groups across the Lucid Motors company, including Engineering, Design Studio, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Planning, Process and Sustaining Engineering.
* Demonstrate the ability to lead technical efforts of teams engaged in complex equipment engineering development.
* Work collaboratively with project team on all stages of Powertrain line development from conception to launch.
* Efficiently implement engineering solutions on manufacturing equipment based on product design changes.
* Utilize analytic problem-solving skills, including knowledge of 8D, Six Sigma, DOE or similar certifications/ disciplines.
* Use of 3D modeling and simulations to validate equipment designs.
You bring:
* Bachelor's Degree in engineering required.
* A minimum of 10+ years of experience in Powertrain Equipment/ Manufacturing/ Process Engineering.
* Experience in the automotive (EV preferred) powertrain equipment design and sustaining.
* Familiarity with equipment control systems, equipment I/Os and basic machine coding logic .
* Experience working with the following equipment: robotics, end of arm tooling, pick and place automation, position sensors, material handling, fluid dispensing, deflection analysis, vision systems, conveyor, and laser cleaning/ metrology.
* Experience with Battery lines: Enclosure, Pack, and/or Module. GD&T, CMM, OMM, leak test, adhesive dispense, accelerated curing, Hipot testing, Dielectrics, Leak tests, End of line testing (HV/LV), AGVs, ASRS equipment, Vision with automated Fiducial offsets, Laser welding, Wire bonding, bar code reading, vision system inspection, potting, HV testing, box cutting automation.
* Familiarity with equipment control systems, equipment I/Os and basic machine coding logic .
* Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced office and plant floor environment, meet critical deadlines with an eye for accuracy and attention to detail.

You bring:

The Manufacturing Engineering Team is looking for a highly motivated intern to join the team for an exciting summer internship. This internship will provide exposure to all aspects of manufacturing engineering including tooling & equipment launch, process development and robotic automation cells. The Jr. Chassis Hardware Manufacturing Technician will be responsible for providing support to daily operations, reviewing the quality issues that are being called out in the quality gates, reviewing the failure mode, and reporting them to the right stakeholders.

* Day-to-day coverage of the production line, including rapid response to out-of-control processes
* Investigate and identify defects reported by the quality gates
* Perform regular audits to verify and confirm standard adherence for critical processes (fixtures, adhesives, torque rollers, special sequence, etc.)
* Perform initial assessment for the issues reported in the line such as part assembly into the e-cube (for part confirmation), assembly/disassembly process (for assembly confirmation), part swap (AB-BA), etc.
* Support with the implementation of process changes to improve process quality and flow (PCR's)
* Generate and maintain comprehensive Quality Reports (QUAL) when required to support effective Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) processes, driving continuous improvement.
* Prepare, submit, and oversee Engineering Deviation Requests (DEVREQ) to address non-conformities or implement temporary changes while ensuring compliance with engineering standards for manufacturing/process related issues.
* Provide inputs for process enhancements and contribute to continuous process improvements
* Monitor in real time the quality indicators of the assigned areas, to provide feedback to workstation
* Create and maintain quality alerts related for the 'Critical To Quality' processes and to the repetitive quality issues of the assigned areas

The Jr. Manufacturing Technician will be responsible for providing support to daily operations, minimizing production downtime, and solving basic system issues by identifying failures and reporting them to the right stakeholders.

Use DMAIC methodology, MODAPTs analysis, and flow system programming to identify inefficiencies and drive continuous improvement in EOL operations.
Develop training programs for technicians and operators, ensuring best practices in electrical repair standards
Provide hands-on support to resolve complex electrical test failures and guide repair technicians on advanced diagnostics.

Essential Job Duties
Train with Engine Dismantlers as needed to learn engine dismantling.
Test and inspect drivetrain for quality and functionality.
Assist Dismantler/Trainer with dismantling vehicles.
Learn and complete the system of dismantling, tagging and storing of all parts.
Comply with all safety standards and requirements to ensure a safe and hazard-free workplace.
Meet structured production quotas.
Assume other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Not responsible for supervising employees.
Minimum Requirements
Education & Experience
Background in either body repair, mechanical, or previous dismantling experience.
May be required to have own set of tools as needed to carry out duties.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Basic computer skills.

We are currently seeking a Paint Process Engineer. This position requires an experienced professional with comprehensive experience in Paint processes and will be responsible for developing optimal topcoat/sealer/PT-Ecoat processes.
You Will:
Help achieve the defined volume, premium paint appearance quality, costs and safety objectives.
Develop and implement paint process quality control plans for pre-treatment/E-coat, sealer, primer, topcoat, and finesse/polish.
Develop and implement Paint PFMEA standards and policies.
Manage Process Control Plans.
Forge excellent cross functional relationships with engineering, suppliers, quality, and manufacturing (Body-In-White & General Assembly).
Coordinate activities with both Product and Plant Engineering.
Develop and implement training programs for production associates.
Identify, trial, and implement any new tools, equipment and processes that could improve quality and manpower efficiency.
Effectively manage and balance safety, quality, throughput, cost, and people to provide maximum value to the customer and the company.
You Bring:
Bachelor's degree in STEM or Engineering (Chemical, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial).
5+ years of automotive OEM paint experience.
Knowledge in Pretreatment-Ecoat/Sealer/Topcoat.
Experience in water-based paint processes preferred.
Fluent in equipment & process planning, budgeting, and simultaneous engineering activities.
Proficient in Process Control Plans.
Hands-on engineer with practical skills.
Experience with Fanuc Automation systems.
Possesses mechanical aptitude and skills.
Expertise with Paint pro, handling pro, or similar.
Committed to continuous process improvement and maintenance.
Skilled in driving adherence to standard methods and procedures.
Knowledgeable about paint equipment layouts and functionality.
Certification in Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing is a plus.
