Maintains confidentiality of personal information of students.
Inform the Principal of correspondence and parent communication.
Completes all forms and documents required and assigned in a timely fashion.
Teaching
Plan, prepare and deliver instructional lessons and activities, through various curriculum resources, which are engaging, educational and exciting for the students.
Reach school and course-wide performance goals and prepare students for standardized tests.
Utilize effective diagnostic and remedial procedures to evaluate pupil achievement
Watch closely for students who are struggling with emotional problems, learning disabilities or situations at home, and help them find the resources they need.
Grade papers and homework regularly to keep students updated on how they are doing and to head any problems off before they become a habit.
Increase educational knowledge and stay up to date on new methods by joining professional organizations, attending continuing education courses and attending regular training sessions for teachers.
Weave goals, competencies and objectives into lesson plans in ways that directly apply to the student's life.
Offer praise and encouragement to students when they do well and when they are struggling, and teach them that they have the power to do well in school no matter what.
Keeps the classroom appearance interesting, stimulating, neat, clean and pleasant so that optimum instruction can take place.
Use Christian disciplinary methods, using Gospel and Law appropriately.
Relates instruction to the Christian objectives of the school.
Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
Miscellaneous:
Responsible for playground, hallways, lunchroom and other supervision as assigned.
Arrives at school by 8:15 and leaves no earlier than 3:45, unless otherwise contracted.
Attends faculty meetings.
Attends teachers' conferences as requested.
Attends parent-teacher conferences.
In case of illness or an emergency absence, the teacher is to contact the Principal by 7:00 a.m. on the day of absence. All leave time is subject to approval under the adopted policy for Trinity Lutheran Church and School.
One half hour each day will be allowed as time off for lunch.

Position Description
United Schools teaching positions provide an opportunity for talented educators to support the academic and social-emotional growth of students in a classroom setting. The Long-Term Substitute Teacher will be providing coverage in various elementary school classrooms during a parental leave of absence. Paraprofessional/Special Education Aide

Paraprofessional to support student safety, growth, and learning under the direction of the Intervention Specialist, and evaluated by the building administrator. Responsibilities include implementing components of students' IEPs, providing individual and group instruction, utilizing de-escalation strategies, and assisting with instructional materials and student data collection. Candidates must have a high school diploma and either an Associate's degree or a passing score on the Paraprofessional assessment. Preferred qualifications include experience working with children and crisis de-escalation certification.
Hours: 7 hours paid per day
Number of days per school year: 181 work days and 8 paid holidays = 189 days

Starting rates of pay:
* No degree and no experience: $18.67 per hour
* Bachelor's degree and no experience: $21.06 per hour
* Current and active teaching license: increases pay by $0.38 per hour increase
* Completion of 40 hours of Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Coursework: $0.38 per hour increase
* Rates of pay are increased with verifiable education and experience
* Longevity incentive after 90 days of service

Reports to: School Director

United currently operates two high-performing elementary schools (K-5) and two high-performing middle schools (6-8) that serve more than 800 students. Position Description
United Schools teaching positions provide an opportunity for talented educators to support the academic and social-emotional growth of students in a classroom setting. Teachers work with content and grade-level teams to develop and internalize rigorous, aligned curriculum, establish and maintain a joyful classroom and grade-level culture, and communicate student progress consistently with families to establish authentic partnerships between school and home. In collaboration with colleagues and school leaders, teachers use data intelligently to drive improvement efforts, implement frequent feedback in order to grow as educators, and design systems that support the needs of all learners.
The Long-Term Substitute Teacher will be providing coverage in various elementary school classrooms during a parental leave of absence. There will be an onboarding period for a few weeks prior to the start of the leave at which point the substitute will start providing building-wide coverage. It is anticipated that this assignment will run from December 8, 2025 through March 13, 2026 although the actual dates may vary.

Qualifications:
Holds a B.A./B.S. degree and has the ability to secure the appropriate teaching license.
Has prior experience working in urban schools and/or communities (preferred).

Is relentless in writing, refining, and internalizing curriculum, lessons, and assessments.
Is open and committed to implementing frequent feedback from team members.

Comfortability with Google products for effective communication and completion of job responsibilities.
Terms of Employment
Applications will be considered immediately on a rolling basis until the position is filled.
This is a full-time, temporary position.
Report times are typically Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., although some job-related tasks can be expected outside of these hours.
Daily Rate: The daily rate for the Long-Term Substitute position is $150/day.

Position Details:

Responsibilities
As a Small Group Teacher with Catapult Learning, you will:
* Diagnose learning skill deficits and delivers prescribed instructional delivery methods as determined by the Company
* Consult with school personnel to coordinate efforts in providing services to students
* Communicate and conference with parents providing information on student progress
* Deliver prescribed instructional delivery methods as determined by the Company
* Attend training sessions and deliver designated instructional models and strategies in readiness, reading, mathematics, and/or writing skills to students through the utilization of Company-designed materials and educational strategies.
* Develop and maintain individualized skill-appropriate lesson plans.
* Ensure supervision of students, including escorting students safely to and from sessions.
* Establish and maintain student forms and files as required by the Company, local, state, and/or federal agencies.
* Attend and document meetings/training with Company Supervisors, classroom teachers, principals, and parents as required by the Company, local, state, and/or federal agencies.
* Maintain inventory of educational materials and supplies.
* Other duties as assigned.
