Performance Responsibilities:

Job Description:
This position is a professional (unrepresented) part-time, grant funded, contracted position. In partnership with the Schenectady City School District (SCSD), LPP Certified Teachers from the SCSD assist with the Academic and Support Services component of the SUNY Schenectady County Community College's Liberty Partnerships Program. They recruit students and promote the program within their school. They also provide direct academic support to the program participants during the after-school program activities and summer program.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide a physically, mentally and emotionally safe place for all LPP students. Assist in the development and implementation of the academic and support services components of the program. Provide academic assistance including tutoring, exam review and homework assistance to students enrolled in LPP. Help students to develop appropriate social skills, study skills and transition strategies. Follow and uphold the student code of conduct. Track and submit monthly attendance and service records.
