Palladium is looking for a Junior Professional to support the UK Team on the Partnerships for Forests (P4F) Phase 2 programme. The role is based primarily from the UK, working on a global sustainable land-use programme funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO).
This is a one-year professional development opportunity, designed to enable you to develop knowledge, skills and competencies required to pursue a successful career within the sector. You will support our Programme Manager and wider team with the technical aspects of project development and management, and delivering administrative, research and compliance tasks. You will also work closely with Senior Leadership both in the UK and internationally, offering you excellent oversight of the programme and the countries it works in.
The role is offered full-time (40 hours), at 5 days per week, based out of either the Bristol or London, UK office, but with some homeworking permitted.
We are willing to consider requests for part-time work for the right candidate, and have flexible working conditions, to enable our team to balance their work and home commitments.
Programme Context
P4F2 (also known as Investments in Forests and Sustainable Land Use Programme - Phase 2 (IFSLU2)) is one of the flagship programmes in the Natural Capital and Climate, Environment and Natural Resources practice areas at Palladium.
P4F2 is split into three components, this position is primarily focused on Component 3 (Congo Basin), with opportunities to collaborate and coordinate with the Global Programme (Component 1 & 2).
P4F2 Congo Basin supports the development of capacity and market systems to enable rural communities and national economies to benefit from a sustainable forest and land-use economy. The programme operates in Cameroon, DRC, Republic of Congo, and Gabon.
P4F2 Congo Basin works closely with local organisations and communities to enable them benefit from investment in sustainable land-use sectors.The programme delivers support to strengthen the capacity of public bodies, financial institutions, companies, business associations, and other actors to support people to benefit from sustainable land-use activities, including community-based forest management.
Primary Responsibilities
The Junior Professional will support the UK Team through responsibilities outlined below:
1. Project Officer 60%
Key responsibilities and tasks will include, but are not limited to:
Project development:
Conduct research to inform the development of the strategy for the portfolio and to inform the design of specific projects in the portfolio.
Participate in relevant stakeholder meetings to build knowledge and engage with key stakeholders, including taking notes, helping to keep track of follow up actions, and maintaining records of engagement in Monday.com
Support the development of Idea Notes and Project Concept notes, including drafting initial content based on discussions with potential partners and with steer from the Programmes Manager and Technical Lead.
Conduct initial review of draft Idea Notes and Project Concept Notes developed by grantees and work with grantees to help to bring it to the standard required for approval processes.
Work with the Grants team to review and prepare budget, contract and risk documents. Manage the document and information flow with prospective grantees, ensuring budgets, idea notes, risk registers, etc are received on time and coordinating the process of review and iteration.
Project management:
Ensure effective management of projects under implementation and ensure timely reporting and monitoring to achieve project outcomes and impacts.
For a select number of projects in the portfolio, be the point of contact for regular reporting and engagement as well as ad hoc issues.
Work with the grants team to review and quality assure budget and risk reporting and work with grantees to resolve queries / issues that arrive.
Conduct initial review of technical / financial reports and work with grantees to bring them to the required standard.
Work with Grantees to identify, log and share lessons and impact stories for projects under implementation.
Assist in the production of client reports, internal reports and updated project reports/updates.
Ensure all records are up to date on Monday.com
2. Programme Coordination 30%
Key responsibilities and tasks will include, but are not limited to:
Scheduling / convening / meeting support / event coordination and management
Convene and document meetings of the Senior Management Team, Project Approval Committee, Risk Committee, Strategic Leadership Group, and any other meetings as required;
Follow up on actions/recommendations from the Senior Management Team, Project Approval Committee, Risk Committee,
Strategic Leadership Group and any other meetings as required;
Convene, document and follow up on client management meetings;
Collate and distribute relevant documentation required for project level approvals and other programmatic decision making;
Upload research notes and documents to the programme management tools e.g. SharePoint and Monday.com.
Reporting
Support progress against programme milestones;
Support the drafting of quarterly, annual and extraordinary reporting;
Contribute to client technical reports and deliverables;
3. Communications Support (Approx. 10%)
Key responsibilities and tasks will include, but are not limited to:
Assist in drafting and editing content for internal and external communications, including newsletters, blogs, social media posts, and impact stories.
Coordinate with the Communication & Stakeholder Lead and Technical Lead Team to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all platforms.
Support the preparation of presentations, briefing notes, and visual materials for stakeholder meetings and events.
Maintain and update communication materials on programme management tools (e.g., SharePoint, Monday.com).
Help identify and document success stories, lessons learned, and case studies for dissemination to clients, partners, and the wider public.
Monitor communication channels and respond to basic inquiries or direct them to the appropriate team members.
Reporting
You will report directly to the Programme Manager and Technical Lead.

SPECIALEDUCATION COORDINATOR RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Managing a caseload of specialeducation students and the implementation of their IEP/504 plans in: inclusive, self-contained and pull-out settings.
Ensuring appropriate delivery of both specialeducation instruction and related services as stipulated on IEPs/504 plans.
Ensuring compliance by the school with all local and Federal laws and regulation relating to students with IEPs/504 plans and students referred to specialeducation.
Ensuring that services provided by contractual personnel are of high quality, provided in the LRE, and are aligned with students' IEPs/504 plans.
Effectively communicating to parents and guardians the specialeducation process including process for referrals, evaluations, annual IEPs/504 plans, and re-evaluations as well as parental rights granted by IDEA.
Facilitating IEP meetings using a strengths based and family centered approach
Coordinating with student's specialeducation team to ensure all documents are completed in a timely manner (according to state, local, and school policies and procedures) prior to MDT meeting. Coordinating with specialeducation team to complete quarterly IEP progress reports and provide quarterly IEP progress reports to parents/guardians.

Coaching specialeducation classroom staff to strengthen classroom practices and support classroom teams.
Identifying and develops appropriate curriculum and school based assessments to support the academic growth of students with IEPs/504 plans.
Supporting the planning of specialeducation initiative and the implementation of initiatives. Integrates new developments, research findings and best practices into ongoing programs and new initiatives.
Representing Bridges as a subject matter expert in contact with OSSE, Federal Agencies and non-profits concerning students with special needs.
Overseeing specialeducation inventory of equipment / materials.
Gathering and report data for all reporting requirements concerning students with IEPs/504 plans and other required reports (to the State, Department of Education, census, grant applications, annual report, etc.). Examples: Child Count and COSF
Maintaining a high level of knowledge regarding developing specialeducation issues such as changes in federal and local specialeducation policy.
Advocating for specialeducation with school leadership.
Establishing and maintaining communication with parents of students in the program.
Facilitating workshops / meetings for parents, as well as identifies resources for parents of students with special needs.
Engaging parents and families in their student's learning and acting as an ambassador for the school in the community.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
DC Prep teachers are on duty at their assigned campus Mondays through Fridays from 7:15 am to 4:15 pm and must be prepared to receive students in the classroom at 7:30 am. On Wednesdays, DC Prep staff report until 5:00 for Professional Development.
Occasionally, staff may be required to report to a different campus for professional development or all network event.
All DC Prep staff perform clerical duties related to instructional supplies, student reports and records, attendance reports, assessments, etc.
DC Prep staff regularly perform morning, lunch, and afternoon duties as assigned by their principal

Job DescriptionBright Minds Inc. is a licensed HIT (High-Impact Tutoring) provider through OSSE for the 2024-2025 school year. Our REAL (Racial Equity in Academic Learning) HIT program provides individualized academic programs in high-priority DC schools. We are a franchise of the Huntington Learning Center, one of the largest tutoring companies in the country. Our DC HIT programs last year produced excellent results at our partner schools, with an average of over 5 months of grade level progress per student. We need passionate teachers who are available during the school day for 2-3 hours per day to work with students in 2nd-8th grade. Teachers are not required to work with the full grade range, your range will be determined in your interview.
This program is funded by a grant to provide HIT (High-Impact Tutoring) to students in an effort to recover from learning loss during the pandemic. Teachers will use proven, individualized academic programs working with students in up to a 4:1 ratio. You will work with the same small group of students who are assigned to you from beginning to end of the program. The goal of the program is to help students bring their foundational academic skills in reading and math up to grade level. We work closely with the reading specialists at our partner schools to identify the correct starting levels and areas of opportunity in reading comprehension for each student. This allows us to put together an individualized program for each student. Then, we adjust it regularly, based on their scores and your feedback, to make sure we get the most we can out of each session.
Teachers are expected to engage and interact with their students; we are looking for individuals in the community who see the importance of reading fluency and comprehension skills and are passionate about helping our students become better students. We know that this will make our students more confident and provide the foundation they will need to be successful in all of their classes moving forward. We have a proven, individualized Huntington Learning Center academic program for every student based on an academic evaluation. There is no prep, planning or looking for curriculum. You will be paid for simply teaching the assigned program to your assigned students, each at their own pace. Teachers always have the option to adjust their availability as needed.

In collaboration with the General EducationTeacher, facilitate Morning Meeting in alignment with the DC Scholars Way
Manage lunch and/or recess blocks
Co-Delivering Whole Group Instruction/Leading Small Group Instruction
In collaboration with the General EducationTeacher, assist with the facilitation of whole group instruction
Facilitate small group instruction; prepare and deliver data-driven small group plans
Be knowledgeable about individual student plans, including Individualized Learning Plans (IEPs), 504s, and other support plans, provide appropriate modifications and accommodations in accordance with student IEPs
Prepare for and actively engage in weekly intellectual preparation meetings (PLCs) with coach and colleagues
Actively engage in coaching sessions (both meetings and in-the-moment coaching) and respond to feedback by agreed upon deadline
Family Collaboration
Actively monitor student attendance data - collaborate with families to improve scholar attendance, collect absence notes, etc.
Engage actively and professionally with families - attend family events (at least quarterly), support Parent Conferences, share academic and behavioral updates with families

Background and Experience
High School Diploma Required
1-2 years professional experience

Extended Learning Teacher
Supervisor: Extended Learning Coordinator

The Opportunity: We are seeking an Extended Learning Teacher with experience in early childhood education to teach and support students in our before care and after school programming for our students at Global Citizens Public Charter School (Global Citizens PCS). Global Citizens PCS is the first dual language immersion elementary school in Washington, DC, to offer language immersion in both Mandarin Chinese and Spanish pathways - exposing students to the top three languages spoken in the world. Paired with a focus on social justice and whole child wellness, Global Citizens PCS equips children to become empathetic, globally competent, and socially-minded leaders who are prepared for a future we cannot yet imagine. Global Citizens PCS opened in Ward 7 to provide children and their families living east of the Anacostia River with equitable access to dual language immersion programs. Founding Extended Learning Teacher Job Description
The Extended Learning Teacher is responsible for ensuring students are safe, learning, and excited about the program each day. In coordination with the Extended Learning Coordinator, the Extended Learning Teacher works to ensure students have an organized and robust afterschool program. The program will incorporate yoga, music, dance, Spanish and Mandarin Chinese languages, Robotics, and STEM. The Extended Learning Teacher will report directly to the Extended Learning Coordinator.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Follow the daily schedule provided by the Extended Learning Coordinator and keep students engaged in fun, hands-on, learning activities
Ensure the Extended Learning Coordinator has attendance sheets to account for present and absent students
Set and hold students to extremely high academic and behavioral standards
Be available to support other Extended Learning Teachers and Extended Learning Coordinator when needed
Ensure the school culture is protected in the program by creating a positive, achievement-oriented and structured learning environment where students are excited and invested in academic achievement
Implement systems and set and reinforce clear expectations and routines that are aligned with the school's overall vision
Ensure students are safe at all times. This includes, but is not limited to monitoring students in the classroom, hallways, at recess, and during other school-related activities
Be available to attend weekly staff meetings with the Extended Learning Coordinator
Distribute snacks to students in the classroom each day
Be prepared to work for before school programming (6:45 am - 8:15 am) and after school programming (2:45 pm - 6:15 pm)
Also be prepared to work on Wednesdays ( day for students) from 12:45 pm - 6: 15 pm
Compensation
This is a part-time position with an hourly rate of $20.00 an hour.
