Practice professionalism through ongoing professional development, reflection and continuous improvement. In addition to subject matter tutoring and teaching, this position includes significant student mentoring. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required: Current CPR certification Bachelor's degree is required. Relevant academic experience, preferably at the middle school or high school level, is desired. Previous education or experience must include one or a combination of the following: • (1) Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology or Physical Education • (2) Minimum of 20 college credits of Kinesiology, anatomy/physiology and/or physical education • (3) Expertise in the relevant subject area • (4) Enrollment in program for, or completion of a Personal Trainer certification Competencies Desired: Ability to adapt curriculum and personal fitness plans to student interests Understand learning differences, emotional difficulties and related social challenges Ability to mentor as a positive role model.
