Responsibilities:
Work with students who are in Early Intervention or Preschool Program providing individualized lessons which target goals from the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) / Individualized Educational Plan (IEP).
Develop creative and multi-sensory lessons based on the IFSP/IEP goals and report progress toward these goals.
Collect meaningful information on IEP /IFSP goals and report quarterly on child's progress with IEP/IFSP goals.
Ongoing communication with supervisors and multidisciplinary team.
Maintain accurate attendance and submit electronic billing daily.
Attend professional development trainings to maintain best practice approach and continue personal development.
Maintain professionalism with parents, teachers, and other professionals.
Attend IEP/IFSP meetings.
Responsibilities for CPSE Evaluations:
Perform comprehensive evaluations in clinic, home and/or preschool based settings.
Write detailed evaluation reports demonstrating the child's abilities and areas of difficulties.
Work collaboratively with parents, teachers, and the evaluation team

Responsibilities
The Teacher sets up the classroom, structures the schedule, and follows procedures in setting up program books and data collection systems for the purpose of implementing the IEPs of the students in the class.
The Teacher develops and uses appropriate or recommended behavior management systems, behavior support plans, reinforcement schedules, positive teaching techniques etc in accordance with DDI policy.
The Teacher plans and implements a daily structured program, incorporating activities to achieve IEP goals and activities to promote generalization.

Healthy Kids Programs is seeking a dedicated and passionate Pre-K Teacher to join our team for our Pre-K classroom and provide high-quality, developmentally appropriate education for young learners for the 2025-2026 school year. The ideal candidate will plan and implement engaging lessons, conduct student assessments, and foster a positive learning environment.
JOB STATUS: Part-time, non-exempt
LOCATION:
Tappan Hill School in Tarrytown, NY
PAY: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
(Please note this will be hourly pay & not salary; however, you will get paid consistently using our new Fixed Rate UPK Options. Fixed Rate Options will be discussed during the Offer)
SCHEDULE: 10 months (aligned to the district calendar)
HOURS: 8:00 am - 3:15 pm
The Pre-K program provides four-year-old children with a universal opportunity to access high-quality pre-kindergarten programs that prepare them for future school success. This position will require a high degree of creativity, cultural awareness, and problem-solving capabilities. The program focuses on child-centered activities, the development of strong foundational skills in early literacy and numeracy, social interactions, and Kindergarten readiness skills. The successful candidate should possess experience with early literacy, multi-disciplinary approaches, and strategies for meeting the needs of diverse learners.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Follow the Creative Curriculum framework and participate in the provided training.
Teach Foundations and Heggerty as part of foundational literacy instruction.
Administer and score the Early Screening Inventory to evaluate student development.
Complete report cards to track and communicate student progress.
Conduct parent-teacher conferences to discuss student achievements, growth, and areas for development.
Maintain accurate daily attendance records and emphasize the importance of consistent student attendance for learning success.
Plan, prepare, and execute developmentally appropriate lesson plans that align with UPK School District requirements.
Use positive guidance strategies to encourage appropriate classroom behavior.
Build strong relationships with students, families, and staff through professional and respectful communication.
Collaborate with teacher assistants to support student learning and classroom management.
Design the classroom layout following ECERS (Early Childhood Environment Rating Scale) standards for optimal learning.
Attend CPSE (Committee on Preschool SpecialEducation) meetings as needed to support student needs and individualized education plans (IEPs).
Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching effectiveness.
Contribute to the evaluation and improvement of the program's goals and objectives.
Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Current NYS teaching certificate valid for service in the early childhood grades.
Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred).
Experience teaching preschool-age children.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
To be qualified as a Pre-K teacher, a person must possess either:
(a) New York State Certification Birth-Grade 2 OR
(b) New York State Certification N-6 OR
(c) New York State Certification P, K, 1-6 OR
(d) Bachelor's Degree & 5-Year Plan.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Warm, friendly, caring, upbeat personality. Exceptional people skills in dealing with young children, parents, and staff.
Professional, reliable, and prompt.
Must have the stamina and physical flexibility (walking, sitting, standing, bending, kneeling, pulling, running, reaching, climbing, lifting, and carrying up to 50 lbs.) without assistance to participate in children's activities.
