Training and professional development Before teaching, you will receive training in the program you are assigned to teach. You may receive training on multiple programs. Before teaching you will also receive training in areas such as models of development, dyslexia, child & adolescent reading development, etc. During the course of instruction, you will have the opportunity to participate in a mix of mentor observations, peer observations, office hours, and student case management discussions. Experience with virtual instruction using Zoom, Teams, Google Meet, or other virtual tutoring platform. An energetic, positive, caring attitude towards children. Interest in the science of dyslexia and related reading difficulties. Successful completion of a background check, which may include fingerprinting.
