Train, organize, and coordinate the work of Instructional Assistants and/or volunteers for the purpose of providing an effective school program that addresses the needs of individual students and supports the overall student, school and district goals.
Establish, foster, and maintain open lines of communication with parents/guardians, school staff, and district specialists concerning academic and behavioral progress of students.
Utilize technology as it relates to job responsibilities.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
Lutheran Community Services Northwest Yamhill County is looking for a Spanish-speaking Teacher Interventionist / Home Visitor to support families with children aged 5 and younger. You'll provide intensive home-visiting services to highly stressed families whose children are also served in the Therapeutic Early Childhood Program classrooms. This position is also responsible for co-creating/planning and implementing developmentally appropriate and therapeutic curricula, monitoring each child's development and progress, as well as creating developmentally appropriate goals for each child.
Co-Plan, implement, and post developmentally and therapeutically appropriate classroom curriculum and activities for children ages 24 mo-5 years
Ensure a therapeutic atmosphere and interactions occur with children in the classroom
Incorporate research-based parenting education into home visits
Utilize the Growing Great Kids/Growing Great Families curriculum to engage families in parent-child activities, facilitate positive attachment, promote early childhood mental health and protective factors
Assist families to identify and achieve parenting, personal, and/or child goals. Provide referrals to necessary community resources, and advocate for the family's needs and interests
HOW YOU WILL BE A GREAT FIT:
* Fluent in Spanish and English (spoken and written)
* Step 9 or higher in Oregon Registry Online required (associate's degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, SpecialEducation, Psychology, Social Work, or another related field).
* At least two years of lived expertise/experience in an early childhood program working with children and families, including home visitation and/or parenting education, or equivalent college coursework, is required

North Clackamas School District participates in the Oregon Public Employee Retirement System (PERS and OPSRP) on behalf of its employees. The district contributes the employer portion; there is also a mandatory employee portion. Upon eligibility, which is defined as working at least six full calendar months in a qualifying position, the employee is required to contribute 6% as their employee portion, via payroll deduction. Part-time employees working at least six months and 600 hours in a calendar year will qualify.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (depending on specific assignment):

Assistance may be in whole-group, small group or one-to-one settings in the core content areas of literacy/language arts, math, science, social studies and/or health.
* Under the guidance of the ELD Specialist, can assist students who are acquiring English with explicit language development instruction and tutoring in small groups and during classroom/core content instruction during literacy/language arts, math, science, social studies and/or health.
* Support the ELD Specialist with programmatic requirements (e.g. determining eligibility for EL Services, ELPA testing, parent engagement, collecting documentation and completing paperwork.
* Support schools site with translation and interpretation needs with bilingual families in-person, over the phone and through email (e.g. registration, teacher parent meetings/conferences, IEP meetings, discipline meetings, urgent/emergency phone calls).
* Establish relationships with bilingual families in order to support communication regarding student's linguistic progress, academic achievement, and behavior and social emotional development.
* When communicating with students, parents, community members, and other staff members, the employee exercises discretion and assures the protection of student confidentiality consistent with the direction and guidance of staff, administrators, and school/district policies and procedures.

Job Description Gardner School Country Friends Campus in Brush Prairie, WA is looking for an experienced assistant preschool teacher who is available to work part time in the afternoon (12:00pm-6:00pm) Tuesday and Thursdays with children ages 4-5 years of age. We encourage and support children in learning all things through play, therefore we ask our teachers to be willingly engaged and excited to share learning experiences with the children at all times. Our licensed center is an Early Achievers Level 3 Facility rated by Washington State DEL.
Duties
