Develop and implement professional development programs for staff on specialeducation strategies and best practices.
Provide guidance and support to teachers, instructional aides, and other staff, as needed.
Coordinate with external service providers, such as speech therapists or occupational therapists, to meet student needs.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to specialeducation services, including in Infinite Campus.
Work with administration and staff to assess the effectiveness of specialeducation programs and recommend improvements.
Stay updated on changes in specialeducation laws and policies to ensure the school remains compliant.
Student and Family Support
Serve as an advocate for students with special needs, ensuring their voices are heard in school decision-making processes.
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child's progress and any changes to their educational plan.
Conduct proactive family outreach and communications regarding student outcomes, strengthening the partnership between families and the school.
Monitor each student's progress towards IEP goals and/or RTI outcomes.
Prepare quarterly reports of each student's progress towards IEP goals and provide them to parents/families.
Schedule IEP meetings, MDT meetings, and/or manifestation meetings as needed, to support student needs and academic development.
Safety Management
Adhere to safety protocols and visitor procedures, and participate in monthly safety drills and related staff training.
Maintain confidentiality of student information.
Maintain complete, accurate, and up-to-date records of student attendance, academic performance and growth (i.e. grades and assessment data), and behavior incidents, interventions, and outcomes (as needed).

Coordinate with other program staff to send finalized weekly lesson plan to management.
Work with staff on filing all activities (activity binders)
Provide active engagement, routine health and personal care support (i.e. eating, toileting, and exercising) and assistance with daily activities
Utilize positive, uplifting and encouraging communication with all clients and staff
Assist program staff in implementation of daily activities and individual program plans
Ensure equipment and environment is clean, safe and functioning.
Clean up facility as part of closing every day.
Assist in completing all documentation (i.e. Daily checklists, communication logs, schedules and incident reports).
Comply with all Federal, State and local regulations and requirements and company policies and procedures.
Collaborate with other staff and volunteers to ensure that all adults with disabilities have the opportunity to:
Gain knowledge of self management and behavioral skills that will enhance their independence, contribution and integration into the community.
Promote an abuse and neglect free environment.
Assist and guide clients through creative activities and expressions of talents while reinforcing the positive, encouraging environment.
Take initiative in creatively planning a weekly schedule as well as leading daily classes
Work at special events if available/applicable outside of weekly hours

Job Summary: The Co-Teacher supports the lead teacher and the Nursery-K4 department by preparing materials, lesson plans, and supervising the children as needed. Including leading in the absence of the teacher, as needed, or encouraged under the tutelage of the teacher. They will provide information concerning the ministry as a whole and will display the highest level of customer service when dealing with parents, staff, and visitors.
