JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the highly skilled, discipline specific, technical operations within an assigned Entertainment venue or event to ensure show quality and a positive guest experience.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Functions as the discipline specific crew chief assigned to an Entertainment Venue or Event. Responsible for monitoring, adhering to and enforcing all policies and procedures as defined by the Entertainment Department governing the safe use and operation of all technical equipment and pyrotechnic devices.

+ Expected to accomplish tasks as directed by Lead/Supervisor that supports the team mission with little supervision after direction is given. Safe watch employees by assisting to manage proper breaks and ensure lunches are taken by their perspective crews.

+ Assists Technician I with daily maintenance of the Entertainment Venue/Event in order to ensure all Technical equipment is operational and functioning properly.

+ Assists the Technician I in implementing show quality and performance standards as defined by Entertainment Management.

+ Responsible for effectively communicating necessary information which pertains to the technical operation of the assigned entertainment venue/event, to both upper management as well as employees of the venue/event.

+ Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.

+ Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION: High school degree or GED required.

EXPERIENCE:

+ One to three years experience within the assigned technical discipline required.

+ Prior experience within the professional theme park/theater industry in a technical capacity (electrical, mechanical, special effects, pyrotechnics) preferred

+ ; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

+ Registration of possessors and responsible party card, approved by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.

+ Must maintain a valid pyrotechnic's license, issued by the Company.

**Job Summary**

Black & Veatch has an exciting opportunity for a Cathodic Protection Technician to support a best-in-class corrosion engineering practice. As part of our Governments and Environment Team, this position will be responsible for the assessment, analysis, and development of corrosion mitigation strategies for critical infrastructure in the water, energy, telecommunications, and government services markets. The position will be supported by our national team of condition assessment and corrosion staff that focus on delivering value to our clients through high technical standards of work and a complete commitment to a one-team culture.

**Key Responsibilities**

This position includes supporting Black & Veatch's Chicago office and other corrosion and condition assessment projects throughout the US and Canada. The role includes a blend of travel, field work (manned entry into buried infrastructure), task management, corrosion assessments, cathodic protection testing, and working as part of a national team. The position will focus on the following:

+ Provide assessment of conditions in the field affecting natural gas, petroleum, water and wastewater infrastructure.

+ Provide input on condition assessment data interpretation including ability to clearly communicate observations and produce results in a professional quality report document

+ Has familiarity with current and future condition assessment technology trends and adoption

+ Assist in the development of rehabilitation designs

+ Desires working on field work assignments involving logistical challenges

+ Coordinates closely with local team leads, design staff and safety team

+ Understands available pipeline and associated coating inspection techniques and rehabilitation options in accordance with applicable regulations.

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ 3+ years experience working with corrosion and cathodic protection inspection

+ AMPP/NACE CP-2 certfication

+ Ability to acquire Operator Qualification certifications complying with 49 CFR 192 Subpart N and Part 195 Subpart G.

+ Experience with the External Corrosion Direct Assessment (ECDA) process

+ Knowledge of pipeline and coating design and repair

+ Knowledge and identification of cathodic protection systems

+ Experience with natural gas, petroleum, water and wastewater treatment plant facility design basics

+ Non-Destructive testing (NDT) experience

+ Inline Inspection (ILI) experience

+ Guided Wave Testing (GWT)

**Minimum Qualifications**

A minimum total of 3 years of related work experience is typically necessary to move into this level. Graduate work may count as related work experience if directly applicable to job function. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
