Maintains orderly conduct of students on the bus at all times. Completes a report on misconduct of bus students on the computer when necessary. Completes reports, as required, on the number and names of bus students, number of bus stops, trip mileage, time, etc. Checks all tires and wheels, lights, emergency equipment, etc. daily prior to bus runs as per rules and regulations. Reports immediately all mechanical deficiencies and failures to the Transportation Mechanic. Cleans the inside of the bus daily and outside of bus when needed. Reports all accidents to the appropriate law enforcement agency and the Transportation Supervisor of the school system. Keeps fuel in the bus and sees that the oil and water are checked regularly. Attends safety meetings as directed. Administers necessary first aid in case of accident. Does evacuation and safety drills on their bus routes. Performs such other duties as assigned by the Transportation Supervisor/designee.     Job DescriptionDescription: Bus Driver/Floater My Place Child Care & School Age Center is looking for bus drivers for our program. The hours for this position would be approximately 2:30pm- 7:30 Monday through Friday, during the school year. Interested candidates must be able to meet the time requirements. You will begin your shift driving to pick up children from school, then work as a teacher/floater in the classroom and end the day with cleaning. They are responsible to safely transport children to/from school daily following all road, traffic, and JFS safety regulations as well as supervision, maintain ratios and follow all center rules.
