Optometrist
Specialty Eye Care Group 4.2
Specialty Eye Care Group job in Bellevue, WA
Job Description
We are a family owned specialty optometry clinic with a strong focus on myopia management, binocular vision, dry eye and custom contact lenses. Patients come to us because they want deeper answers, more time with their doctor and a personalized care plan they can trust. As our optometrist, you'll be working in an environment built for thoughtful, medically focused care rather than high volume refractions.
You'll collaborate with a skilled team of technicians, opticians and fellow providers who value accuracy, education and long term patient outcomes. Your work directly supports our mission to enrich people's lives so they can reach their full potential.
We believe in meaningful work and a balanced life. We protect weekends for family and personal time, so our clinic operates Monday through Friday only. Our typical workday runs from 8:40 to 5:15. As a family owned clinic, we prioritize a culture where people feel supported, valued and given the tools to do their best work. Doctors also enjoy generous in house perks on services and products, which is especially helpful in a specialty driven setting.
If you're looking for a clinic where your training is valued, your ideas matter and your work genuinely changes lives, this is a great place to build your career.

• Develop individualized plans that prioritize long term visual health
• Communicate findings in a clear, supportive and patient centered manner

Assistant Manger/Lead
Specialty Eye Care Group 4.2
Specialty Eye Care Group job in Kirkland, WA
Job Description
Specialty Eye Group is looking for an Assistant Office Lead to support day-to-day operations and help our clinic running smoothly. This role is for someone who sees what needs to be done and steps in without waiting to be asked. We're looking for a person who isn't afraid to take action, hold themselves accountable, and grow through real responsibility.
While we are an optometry practice, we are not a traditional primary-care or optical-driven model. Our clinical focus is built around four core specialty pillars: Dry Eye, Myopia Management, Specialty Contact Lenses, and Binocular Vision abnormalities. Our long-term goals and daily priorities are centered on strengthening and expanding these four areas.
Routine eye care and optical services are an important part of what we do, but they are not the primary driver of our mission or our decision-making. This role requires someone who understands that distinction and can help keep the team aligned with where we are going.
We are a family-operated business, and we take work-life balance seriously. We intentionally do not work weekends so our team can recharge, spend time with family, and come back focused and present. We believe sustainable care starts with a supported team.
What this role looks like day to day
You will support the Office Lead in managing clinic flow, staff coordination, and patient experience, while ensuring our specialty services are operationally supported.
Responsibilities
Supporting front desk and clinical staff throughout the day
Stepping in quickly when issues arise and driving solutions forward
Helping prioritize schedules, staffing, and resources around specialty care
Assisting with onboarding and training new team members
Reinforcing clinic policies, procedures, and service standards
Holding yourself and others accountable to expectations
Acting as a point of contact when the Office Lead is unavailable
Maintaining a calm, professional presence during busy or high-acuity days
This is not a passive role. We need someone willing to put their feet to the fire, take ownership of outcomes, and follow through consistently.
Required Skills
What we're looking for
Prior experience in a medical or optometry office strongly preferred
Clear understanding that specialty care drives our practice model
Willingness to take initiative and make decisions
Open mindset with the ability to learn, adapt, and accept feedback
Strong communication skills with both staff and patients
Ability to lead by example rather than by title
Organized, dependable, and solution oriented
Why this role matters
This position plays a direct role in helping us build and protect our four specialty pillars. The right person will help ensure daily operations support long-term clinical goals, not just volume.
Schedule, compensation, and benefits
This is an in-person role based in our Kirkland and Bellevue locations. Flexibility to work at both locations is required.
We offer competitive wages along with perks and benefits that reflect our commitment to our team and long-term retention.
If you're someone who understands specialty care, isn't afraid to take action, and wants to grow within a family-run practice that values balance and accountability, we'd love to hear from you.

Optometrist
Specialty Eye Care Group 4.2
Specialty Eye Care Group job in Kirkland, WA
Job Description
Responsibilities
Direct Patient Care
• Perform comprehensive medical eye exams with a strong focus on accuracy and patient education
• Diagnose and manage dry eye disease using advanced imaging and in office treatments

• Develop individualized plans that prioritize long term visual health
• Communicate findings in a clear, supportive and patient centered manner
Clinical Collaboration
• Work closely with technicians to ensure clinical data and pretesting are accurate
• Partner with opticians to support lens and product recommendations that align with patient needs
• Maintain open communication with the care team to support smooth clinic flow
• Participate in continued development of the clinic's specialty programs
Documentation and Compliance
• Maintain accurate and timely EHR documentation
• Follow clinic protocols and specialty care pathways
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
• Coordinate care and referrals when needed
Patient Experience and Advocacy
• Build long term trust with patients and families
• Support a clinic culture that values kindness, education and better outcomes
• Advocate for specialty solutions when they can genuinely improve quality of life Required Skills
Required
• Doctor of Optometry degree and active state licensure
• Strong clinical judgment backed by solid communication skills
• Comfort managing medical and specialty conditions
• Ability to collaborate well with a multi disciplinary team

Preferred
• Experience with scleral lenses, ortho-K or other custom lens designs
• Background in dry eye management or binocular vision
• Familiarity with axial length measurement, meibography and advanced diagnostics
• Interest in expanding specialty programs such as myopia management or BV
We are open to mentoring the right doctor
If you're newer to specialty care but excited to grow, we're happy to invest in your development. Curiosity, integrity and a patient centered mindset matter more than checking every box on day one.
Personal Qualities That Help You Succeed
• You prefer meaningful, unhurried time with patients
• You value precision and take pride in high quality work

• You work well with a supportive, collaborative team
• You want to make a lasting impact through specialty optometry
