Pros of working at Specialty Printing

This company produces some very interesting products. We create labels that stem anywhere from simple blank products for various uses to extremely intricate medical contracted product We create labels for products that are distributed not only nationally but globally as well. We are constantly seeking opportunities that challenge our company's capabilities and with each challenge faced, our team (made up of driven and very intelligent individuals) compile a plan of action to satisfy each customers wants and needs. There are sempiternal improvement plans in motion to aid in cost efficiency and product quality; all with the customers best interest in mind.

Cons of working at Specialty Printing

The work environment on the production floor exhibits variations depending on the shift. First shift operations are characterized by a tense atmosphere with excessive supervisor presence, leading to potential chaos. Off shifts face heightened scrutiny and criticism for mistakes compared to first shift counterparts. Training relies heavily on trial and error, with designated trainers often lacking proper qualifications. Disparities in treatment between office staff and warehouse workers are apparent, hindering morale. Despite promises of growth opportunities during hiring, actual pathways for advancement are limited in certain departments. Training quality on the press floor is subpar, and perceptions of favoritism within the company exacerbate internal issues. The absence of performance-based bonuses and the prevalence of nepotism contribute to feelings of inequity among employees.

Specialty Printing benefits

Specialty offers decent benefits. They match up to 4% of your 401k contributions at 100% and anything over that is a fraction of what you contribute. Employees get five sick days after 30 days and five vacation days after 60 days. If you refer someone who they decide to hire, there are bonus incentives if they stay employed. If they maintain employment for three months there is a $250 bonus for the person who referred them and then after six months they pay another $250. They offer decent insurance plans.
