This role supports the Sr. Director of HR for a 300-person company and offers hands-on experience across all areas of HR. Trimble Advanced Positioning is offering a full-time position opportunity for a professional experience in geodetic survey, geomatics or information technology (IT) to join our team in Hoehenkirchen-Siegertsbrunn (Munich area), Germany. The selected candidate will be working with a team that monitors and manages the operational networks that deliver Trimble's unprecedented global real-time service CenterPoint RTX™, along with the well-established portfolio of regional Trimble VRS Now™ real-time services. These are subscription-based GNSS correction streaming services that are delivered from our server systems via internet or satellite broadcast and which enable our customers to do precise GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite Systems) positioning.
The selected candidate will monitor and operate high-availability systems in a highly motivated, international team of system operators located in Germany, Australia, and the United States. The hired person will be monitoring, operating and working as part of a 24x7x365 "Follow the Sun" network operations team in these three regional time zones - some days require strict working hours. Additionally the candidate will focus on building monitoring and automation based on metrics coming from the monitored services. Third focus for this position is keeping CORS (Continuously Operating Reference Station) infrastructure alive as a fundamental network for the services.
A limited amount of domestic and international travel will be required (Less than 10% of working time).
Key Responsibilities:
Monitoring and maintaining of real-time GNSS correction services
Develop new approach of monitoring and processes around monitoring the GNSS and IT Infrastructure
Monitoring and troubleshooting of the global CORS infrastructure (with main focus on Europe)
