Medline is Hiring Class A CDL Drivers in Romulus, MI!. MedTrans is Medline's private fleet of professional drivers that delivers our lifesaving medical products directly to both commercial and residential customers. Our fleet consists of 1,900+ trucks that feature newer equipment. We manage a network of over 50 distribution centers nationally and provide 1-day shipping to 95% of the United States. The Driver is responsible for operating a Class A vehicle to transport life-saving medical products to our local customers. The Driver plays a critical role in building positive relationships with our customers by ensuring timely, accurate, and safe deliveries. Job Description Responsibilities: Shift Time: M-F, 12:00am-3:00am start time Load and secure product from the Medline Facility into a truck. Safely operate a Class A vehicle between the Medline Facility and multiple customer destinations on a delivery route. Abide by Medline's safety regulations, including wearing safety equipment where needed, performing safety checks, etc. Unload and deliver product at our customer facilities, ensuring timely deliveries. Provide in-person support to the customer - addressing their questions and needs and providing appropriate documentation upon delivery. Communicate with dispatching team regarding necessary adjustments to delivery route or schedule in order to meet customer needs and maintain safe operations. Maintain a travel and cargo log in accordance with Federal and State regulations and company policy. Perform inspection of vehicle to ensure safe operation and sufficient fuel levels for continued vehicle use. Required Experience: 1.5 years+ of Class A driving experience Current/valid CDLA and DOT medical card Local, home daily roles Prior touch freight and local, multi-stop delivery experience Willing to touch freight (pallets, totes, u-boats, etc.) Ability to meet Federal and State requirements for operation of commercial motor vehicles. The Transportation Driver plays a vital role in providing safe, reliable, and courteous transportation services to our community of older adults, which includes those in independent living, assisted living, and our healthcare center. The driver supports a robust, 7-day-a-week, 19-hour-a-day employee shuttle service, and provides on-demand transportation for local employees across our 160+ acre campus. Additionally, drivers transport residents to medical appointments, assist with field trips for assisted and independent living, facilitate transportation for memorial services, shopping, and other miscellaneous trips as requested. Key responsibilities include ensuring personal and passenger safety, strictly adhering to traffic laws both on and off campus, maintaining punctuality, and preparing vehicles in advance, particularly during extreme weather conditions. Drivers are expected to create positive and meaningful interactions with all passengers while maintaining a high standard of service that reflects the values of Hebrew SeniorLife. II. GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION Driver is responsible for transporting clients to and from various medical appointments and other appointments as needed. Transport / Accompany individuals for initial attendance at MOUD providers or other self-help meetings, visits to other providers or visits to the Recovery Support Center as appropriate, care and assist in securing long term transportation. Understands and uses agency/department policies and procedures, including Gandara Center's Recovery Coach Code of Ethics. Seeks clarification as needed from Supervisor. Attends Coalition Meetings, Individual and Group Supervision sessions, and Trainings/meetings as indicated Minimum Qualifications: The Recovery Coach Driver must have sufficient time in recovery from a substance use disorder in order to safely and effectively provide recovery support to others. They must be willing and able to share their path to recovery and their lived experience with participants and support all paths to recovery. Embrace and work in a culturally and linguistically diverse recovery community Have a comprehensive understanding of addictive behaviors, S.U.D's and recovery. Communicate effectively orally and in writing. Completion of Recovery Coach Academy and working toward certification Must have valid Driver's License and good driving record.
