The SLP will assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and feeding disorders using evidence-based practices. QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
Current Missouri licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist. ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
Experience working with students with disabilities and severe behaviors. Familiarity with AAC devices, PECS, and social communication interventions is highly preferred. Knowledge of ABA principles and behavior management strategies is a plus.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (i.e. Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize work.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Evaluate Patients for rehabilitation services within 24 to 48 hours of physician's orders.
Develop effective treatment plans.
Treat patients according to the treatment plan of care.
Communicate with Physician, Clinical Managers and other health care team members, patient and/or family and facility staff any pertinent information concerning patient's progress, problems and plans.
Participate in Care Conference Meetings and Interdisciplinary Team Meetings.
Participate in in-service training programs for other staff in the facility.
Record evaluations, treatment notes, progress notes, provide objective input for discharge summaries and complete daily billing of services per policy and procedure.
Instruct patient's families or nursing staff in maintenance programs.
Participate in discharge planning.
Achieve or exceed the minimum productivity standard established by CRI.
Recommend any needed equipment to the appropriate personnel which would facilitate improved delivery of clinical services.
Report any problems with department equipment to appropriate personnel.
Act as a clinical supervisor for affiliating Speech/Language Pathology Graduate Clinicians for area Universities and Colleges.
Comply with state specific Speech Pathology Licensure Standards.
Maintain an organized working environment.

JOB GOAL: The Speech Language Pathologist in the Wyandotte County Infant- Toddler Services program serves eligible infants and toddlers and their families in home and community- based settings. The PT engages in evaluation, program planning, caregiver coaching, and team collaboration in order to work toward family- identified outcomes for each child, taking particular team leadership in communication development.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (used for Staff positions) Conduct intake and screening visits (to determine eligibility for services) at the family's home, child care or other natural setting
Work as a transdisciplinary team member to collaboratively serve eligible infants and toddlers
Participate in team evaluations to determine the eligibility of referred children
Participate in team assessment to determine the functional developmental strengths/challenges of eligible children
Work together with families and other team members to develop appropriate Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) based upon family- identified priorities
Deliver ongoing home and community based intervention based upon the IFSP utilizing a coaching model of caregiver support

Deliver individualized and small-group speech and language therapy to students with IEPs across K-8.
Address a broad range of communication areas including:
Receptive and expressive language
Articulation and phonological processing
Fluency and voice
Social-pragmatic language and conversational skills
Design and implement Social Club programming for Autistic students using Social Thinking methodologies.
Assessment and Documentation
Conduct initial and ongoing evaluations, screenings, and assessments to identify communication disorders.
Develop, write, and update IEP goals and present levels of performance in collaboration with the IEP team.
Maintain clear, accurate, and confidential records including session notes, progress reports, and compliance documentation.
Ensure therapy and documentation adhere to IDEA regulations and school policies.
Collaboration and Consultation
