ChristianaCare HomeHealth is seeking a Full Time Speech Language Pathologist. The successful candidate will support the Dover/Smyrna/Milford Delaware areas; and will work day shift hours, one weekend a month, and 2 holidays a year.
As a Speech Language Pathologist you will:
Administer clinical procedures for analyzing and evaluating speech and language; cognitive communication disorders and dysphagia problems
Train patients and caregivers appropriate techniques in speech, language and swallowing, etc.
Requirements:

In this position, you will assess and treat adults with communication and swallowing disorders primarily in acute care, with occasional support on the inpatient Rehabilitation Unit. With an emphasis on patient-family centered care, we specialize in a variety of services with a dynamic interdisciplinary/trans-disciplinary team approach.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and implement appropriate treatment programs to include family specific goals and time frames

Deliver individualized and small-group speech and language therapy to students with IEPs across K-8.
Address a broad range of communication areas including:

Articulation and phonological processing

Design and implement Social Club programming for Autistic students using Social Thinking methodologies.
Assessment and Documentation
Conduct initial and ongoing evaluations, screenings, and assessments to identify communication disorders.
Develop, write, and update IEP goals and present levels of performance in collaboration with the IEP team.
Maintain clear, accurate, and confidential records including session notes, progress reports, and compliance documentation.
Ensure therapy and documentation adhere to IDEA regulations and school policies.
Collaboration and Consultation
Provide support to general education and special education staff with classroom strategies and interventions for at-risk or struggling students.
