Must hold a Master's (minimum) degree in the field of Speech Therapy from an accredited program

WORKING CONDITIONS
The position requires occasional to frequent lifting up to 25-50 pounds; prolonged standing frequent walking, stooping and squatting. Kelsey-Seybold Speech Pathologist doctors treat children, adolescents, and adults at Kelsey-Seybold's Main Campus location and at neighborhood clinics throughout Houston. Responsibilities include: Speech-language pathologists (SLPs) work to prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication, and swallowing disorders in children and adults. Assess, diagnose, treat, and help to prevent communication and swallowing disorders in children and adults. SLPs will work as part of a collaborative, interdisciplinary team, which may physicians, audiologists, and ENT physicians.
Qualifications
* Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) must earn a graduate degree
* Speech-language pathologists should also possess the following specific qualities:
* Communication skills, Compassion, Critical-thinking skills, Detail-oriented, Listening skills, and Patience.
* Graduate of an approved training program in the United States.
* Applicants for the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) must earn a graduate degree, successfully complete the required clinical experiences, and pass a national examination.
