Maintain appropriate communication with the pediatric patient and family regarding progress, problems, home programs, and other issues related to the therapeutic process. Consult with physician on patient progress and maintains appropriate records. Responsible for the maintenance of supplies and equipment. Attend internal and external public education functions which may include periodic in-service Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program. Attend Continuing Education activities and expand scope of service. Maintain adequate caseload with appropriate productivity. What you'll do: Provides Speech Therapy services to clients and initiates referrals when appropriate and in accordance with Speech Therapy Department procedures. Evaluates clients to obtain data necessary for treatment planning and implementation. Conducts specialized evaluations as indicated. Develops treatment plans by identifying a problem list, including short and long term goals and methods to achieve identified goals. Implements and conducts treatment plan as outlined in treatment plan. Monitors client's response to intervention and modifies treatment as indicated to attain goals. Documents results of clients' assessment, treatment, follow-up, and termination of services. Adapts treatment to meet the individual needs of the client. Recommends and obtains appropriate equipment to improve client's communication. Instructs client and family in use of augmentative communication devices. Instructs client and family in appropriate speech-language procedures or home program to allow carry over of therapeutic remediation and goals in daily activities. *Above description is not inclusive of all job duties.
