Role Overview:
As an SLP, you will develop and implement individualized education/treatment programs for students whose ability to communicate has been impacted by developmental differences, disabilities, or injuries. This role offers the opportunity to work with young learners in a supportive school environment while making a lasting impact on their development.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver therapy and interventions to students in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to address communication disorders.
Work closely with teachers, administrators, and other specialists to develop and implement strategies that support students' speech, language, and communication development.
Offer expertise in speech and language assessments, goal setting, and progress monitoring to ensure students receive appropriate accommodations and support.
Document all services, assessments, and interventions provided, ensuring compliance with district and state requirements.
Qualifications:
Master s degree or higher in SpeechLanguage Pathology.
Illinois PEL with Speech-Language endorsement (or Type 73, Type 10, or Type 03/09)

Experience with a variety of diagnostic instruments appropriate for students.
Skill and experience working with students who use augmentative and adaptive communication strategies and devices.
Experience in writing Individual Education Programs (IEP), including working knowledge of social and behavioral language goals, specific task analysis skills, and ability to write measurable annual goals and objectives.
Participate as an effective member of the IEP team.
Completion and maintenance of CCCs in SLP is preferred.
Working knowledge of state and federal regulations for disabled students

Minimum of a master's degree in a field related to Speech-Language Pathology

Responsibilities
Speech-LanguagePathologists (SLP) evaluate and provide skilled speech-language therapy to individuals in a home setting, under the care of an attending physician. At Enhabit Home Health & Hospice, the home setting may include single or multi-family homes, assisted living, independent living, or memory care.
The SLP evaluates and treats patients with language impairments, motor speech disorders, dysphagia, cognitive communication difficulties, voice disorders, and those requiring alternative or augmentative communication. At Enhabit, an SLP may often work with patients who have experienced a stroke, and those with progressive diseases such as Parkinsons disease and dementia.
Qualifications
Must possess a valid state drivers license.
Must possess automobile liability insurance.
Must wear seat belts at all times while driving.
Dependable transportation kept in good working condition.
Must be able to drive an automobile in all types of weather conditions.

• Duties include assessment and treatment of speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders in oncology patients
• Care for patients with tracheostomies and laryngectomies, including education for patients and families
• Average orientation period is approximately 80 hours with about 72 hours on the clinical floor
• Scrub color is wine; scrubs are not provided
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Flu vaccination or signed declination required during flu season (October-March)

• Locals are accepted at the local pay rate if residing within a 75-mile radius

Requirements
