What You'll Do: Direct Scholar Support Provide speech and language services to scholars identified as at risk or awaiting CPSE provider assignments. Conduct individualized and small-group interventions to support language development, articulation, and communication skills. Document progress and maintain clear, confidential records of services provided. Observation & Assessment Conduct classroom observations to identify scholars who may need additional support. Take detailed notes and share findings with leadership, instructional staff, and families as appropriate. Collaborate with teachers to integrate strategies into daily routines. Collaboration with CPSE & Families Participate in CPSE meetings and contribute to the development and review of IEPs. Provide families with updates on their child's progress, offering strategies for supporting language development at home. Serve as a liaison between Harlem Gems, families, and external service providers. Teacher Coaching & Professional Development Provide constructive feedback to teachers and staff on language-supportive practices. Model effective strategies within the classroom. Design and facilitate professional development sessions focused on speech, language, and communication best practices. Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week; however, exact hours are flexible depending on program needs.
