The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) will be performing therapies, recording the notes of each visit, and following up with their patients. The SLP will be empowered to build their schedule and maintain it consistently. The SLP may have Assistants to supervise and co-sign. The SLP will be given the tools (software/program, i.e., ClinicSource) to facilitate the secretarial needs of their schedules (i.e., confirming appointments), and will be expected to have computer and smartphone literacy for this reason. Traveling will be expected, as we also offer services not only at our offices but at the daycare centers and schools in the surrounding areas. The SLP will meet with their Supervisor at least once a month and work on therapy strategies. Education/Certificates: Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, or a similar degree; SLP License from the State of Florida. This position is responsible for the evaluation and treatment of medically prescribed therapy services, in order to achieve maximum developmental potential, functional gains and independence. The therapist must be able to work independently, as well as, in teams and make appropriate decisions based on each patients functional needs.
