Chicagoland Speedway seeks a talented professional to join in the position of aMaintenance Technician based at the track.
Summary
This position is responsible for the routine preventative maintenance, repairs and track services duties. Operating a variety of equipment. Basic office systems knowledge including but not limited to computer systems and programs, and cellular phone.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain/Enhance the aesthetics of the facility i.e. refurbish assets, repaint, rebuild etc. in an effort to keep the facility in top operational condition.
Inspect plumbing, HVAC, interior and exterior of buildings, parking lots and all other areas and repair as needed.
Perform proper maintenance on all department assets to ensure efficiency and extend life.
Provide emergency assistance for inoperative vehicle/equipment when needed.
Develop and implement preventative maintenance/routine service inspection programs within.
Operational and maintenance knowledge of owned/rented equipment and tools.
Assist with event operations for large to small events held at the facility and work events as needed.
Work with and manage any trade personnel that may be hired to work such as plumbers, electricians and/or carpenters to complete these projects.
Follow safety practices and be aware of potential safety hazards/occupational hazards and implement systems and safeguards to insure a hazard free workplace.
Assist the department in general facility maintenance and construction projects.
Fulfill numerous work order/requests for maintaining the facility's needs.
Communicate effectively, both orally and written.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Hours may vary but will include all hours of operation, evenings, weekends and holidays as necessary to work events and to fulfill job responsibilities. Acceptance of work hours customary in the field of sport/entertainment is necessary.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Valid driver's license required.
Physical demands include the following:
Regularly required to stand and walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
Frequently required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Occasionally required to sit; and taste or smell. The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions, vibration and moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee would occasionally work in high, precarious places or be exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electric shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud but can be very loud at times.
The compensation range for this position is:

The MaintenanceTechnician I under the general supervision of the Manager, Facility Services will support the process to satisfy new and current customer demands at FCI sites as to meet all of our customer demands.
The MaintenanceTechnician I will administer an ongoing maintenance program for FCI to ensure the facility equipment is fully operational. The Technician will perform preventive maintenance, emergency maintenance, part installation and/or repairs on facility equipment.
Responsibilities
Perform a variety of repairs and preventive maintenance duties to ensure building equipment, production equipment, building and grounds are maintained and performing to standard.
Complete all assigned scheduled preventive maintenance tasks. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
Assist in documenting and identifying problem areas and maintaining the preventive maintenance program.
Examine equipment during operation to determine if adjustments or repairs are needed.
Request materials as needed for maintenance and repair of equipment or systems.
Some assigned after hours support is required.
This job requires full time punctual attendance at the workplace to perform the assigned maintenance duties.
This position requires the ability to work within a team effectively including providing training classes for remaining team on any Technical training classes received.

Performs work as part of a team in an industrial laundry facility. Responsible for the safe, expeditious, and accurate performance of routine in reference to a daily preventative maintenance schedule in and around the laundry facility.
• Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
Essential duties and responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to: Maintains all plant equipment to include high volume industrial washers and or dryers. Repairs, replaces equipment when necessary; Performs basic plumbing, mechanical, and electrical work. Ability to trouble-shoot and solve technical issues by following technical manuals and schematics; Orders necessary parts, tools, and equipment in a timely manner by following company procurement policy; Maintains a proper Daily Schedule Control for equipment maintenance and preventative maintenance schedule and record; Conducts daily removal and processing of waste solids generated from treatment process; Performs equipment troubleshooting, makes necessary repairs, and completes preventative maintenance and housekeeping practices for all related wastewater hardware; Maintains safe and clean work environment, and observes best practices in all production activities; Uses safety precautions, follows electrical lock-out tag-out procedures for equipment, and adheres to all safe work practices and policies for all safety, boiler, and wastewater treatment procedures; Other duties as required or assigned
• Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Demonstrated mechanical and basic electrical aptitude; Familiar with standard maintenance procedures, preventative maintenance schedules, and proper safety techniques; Basic knowledge of industrial laundry equipment and required codes; Ability to comprehend and perform all required training, written, and verbal instructions; Good verbal and/or written communication skills; Ability to work independently and as part of a team; Ability to meet attendance schedule; Work is based on a shift schedule, and may include weekends. Position Summary: The MaintenanceTechnician will be involved in all activities related to preventative maintenance, mechanics of setting up, installing, dismantling, assembling, troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment used in the process of making corrugated sheets. MaintenanceTechnician is responsible for ensuring all equipment runs properly and meets operational and specification requirements. Technician will operate and conduct themselves in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures.
This is a full time position (works 36 hours but paid for 40 hours) working rotating days (rotating work days, Wednesday - Friday and Friday - Sunday) from 7 am - 7 pm with overtime as needed.
Duties & Responsibilities: Systems include high speed corrugating machines, robotic assembly devices, conveyors, batch mixers, electrical distribution systems, and building automation systems.
Basic mix of electro-mechanical industrial maintenance, hydraulics and pneumatics, required
Ability to troubleshoot/replace, A/C motors, D/C motors, analog and digital sensors, bearings, gearboxes, and hydraulic/pneumatic components
Ability to calibrate machines; electrically and mechanically
Schedule required maintenance per established PM's
Schedule routine work orders
Respond to emergency work orders within established parameters of timely response
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of plant operations and facility management
Sharing your knowledge and gaining knowledge from the rest of the team is essential
Knowledge and ability to read/interpret schematics, highly preferred
Experience and compliance with OSHA regulations
Self-motivated, dependable, punctual, and organized

Minimum Qualifications and Education Requirements
Minimum Educational Requirements
High School Diploma/GED
College coursework and/or certification program coursework required
Preferred candidate will possess
Prior experience in corrugated industry
2+ years mechanical and electrical experience in an industrial manufacturing environment installing and troubleshooting electrical components and machinery
Related Military training/experience
Language Skills
Working understanding of spoken English
Working understanding of written English
Mathematical Skills
Must be able to read & use a non-metric measuring tape
Must be able to count & perform simple mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, & division)
