Position Overview
The Administrative Associate Senior provides direct administrative support to the department Chair and manages the department's primary administrative office. This position also provides additional administrative support for department faculty and staff and serves as manager and supervisor of student hourly employees for office administrative support. This position supports the Department graduate student program in coordination with the department graduate program staff and faculty. The Administrative Associate Senior role includes interpreting academic regulations for both students and faculty; providing administrative support for the AE Graduate Program Coordinator and Director; managing Graduate Teaching Assistant appointments and orientations; and supporting the academic needs of in-person and on-line students. The individual is given special assignments by the Chair and has standard assignments which result from the requirements of the Aerospace Engineering Office, Dean's Office, Provost's Office, Graduate School, other university units, KU Endowment, KU Office of Research, and various other state agencies. Position Overview
The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences' Governance AdministrativeAssistant is responsible for supporting both governance functions and all undergraduate student service functions in the College. This position provides support to the Governance, Awards, and Orientation Coordinator by assisting with the coordination of faculty governance, curriculum management, and College awards for faculty and students. In addition, this position assists with a variety of front office services for students, faculty, and staff. The person in this position serves as a key resource for the front office for more difficult questions relating to deadlines, policies, upcoming issues, and various other matters, and is often called upon to handle sensitive and sometimes volatile situations with diplomacy. This position is responsible for timely completion of various forms requiring student record verification of sensitive information and providing customized letters as needed for students in the College. In coordination with the student support coordinator, they update academic plans and liaise with the Registrar's office for timely student records changes, as well as completion of data entry of records. The person in this role answers departmental emails, responds to phone messages, and covers phone, walk-in, and email services in the front office, exercising independent judgment as to whether the issue can be resolved immediately or whether it should be a referral. They collaborate with the student support coordinator, providing back up when needed, to ensure that these critical duties are always covered.
This position reports to the College's Governance, Awards, and Orientation Coordinator, with a dotted line report to the Student Support Coordinator.

Position Overview
The student assistant's role is to provide excellent customer service to KU Band students, faculty, staff, and visitors at the front desk. This position supports the KU Band administrative office with general office duties, including answering phones and greeting visitors, word processing, filing, copying, data entry, mailing, and other tasks as assigned. Additionally, the student assistant provides faculty support as needed or requested.

Position Requirements
During the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: (1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or (2) be pre-enrolled in the upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or (3) be enrolled in summer session or (4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments).
Employment Conditions
