We are the region's largest BMT and Cellular Immunotherapy program in Kansas. Qualified candidates must have completed an ACGME accredited Hematology/Oncology fellowship, and be board certified/eligible in Hematology. Candidates who have completed a BMT fellowship program preferred. Responsibilities: * Provide medical care for both outpatient clinic and hospitalized patients * Contribute to various research, educational and clinical initiatives related to areas of individual interest and expertise * Serve in a clinician educator role with responsibility for education of house staff Organization: * The HMCT Division is comprised of leading experts in the treatment of hematologic malignancies and immune deficiencies, with 20 faculty members dedicated to developing innovative treatments for these patients * HMCT division operates a large, state-of-the-art, outpatient care facility, therapeutic blood treatment/apheresis center, and annually receives >800 referrals a year and annually performs >300 transplants and CAR-T/cell therapy procedures. * The HMCT division has a comprehensive portfolio of pharma-sponsored and investigator-initiated BMT and CAR-T and cell therapy clinical trials and is also a certified CAR-T center for Novartis, Kite and BMS. * FACT Accredited and Immune Effector Cell (IEC) program that performs autologous and allogenic transplants, CAR T-cell and cellular therapeutics for blood cancers and solid tumors * 1,045-bed academic medical center, and 49 bed unit for BMT, cellular therapeutics and hematologic malignancy patients.     Title Physician - Faculty Radiation Oncology Bloch Radiation Oncology Pavilion / Career Interest: Faculty Radiation Oncology The Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Kansas Cancer Center and the University of Kansas Health System is seeking to recruit multiple radiation oncologists at our main academic location and at our community locations, as the department continues to grow under the leadership of chairman Dr. Ronald Chen. About University of Kansas Cancer Center-Department of Radiation Oncology The University of Kansas Cancer Center is an NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. The University of Kansas Cancer Center has recently received a $100 million lead gift to build a new, state-of-the-art destination cancer center. The integrated clinical program serves over 6,000 new patients annually. The department consists of 23 physician faculty, and is active in basic and translational research, clinical trials, and health services research. There is a dedicated team of research staff to support clinical trials, and a full-time statistician for the department. The department has an ACGME-accredited four-year residency program in radiation oncology, and a CAMPEP-accredited physics residency. For the main academic location, we are looking for one academically oriented faculty focused on breast cancer, and another faculty focused on genitourinary cancers. In addition, we are seeking a faculty member to practice in our community locations. We are interested in applicants who have newly completed residency, as well as mid-career and senior-level candidates with established clinical and research expertise. Our main academic location and the community locations are in the Kansas City Metro area. Job Duties: * Provide care for neurology patients in the inpatient setting. * Diagnose, treat, and manage these patients in the hospital and on call. * Participate in on-call coverage. * Educate medical students, residents, and fellows in patient care settings in formal and informal group education formats. * Minimally participate in scholarly activity derived from clinical activities. This faculty position offers a blend of clinical care, teaching, and research opportunities, tailored to the candidate's experience and interests. Key responsibilities include providing comprehensive clinical care and participating in on-call duties as part of a shared faculty rotation. Provide clinical and surgical services to the VA and/or other sites under Professional Services Agreement. The role also involves supervising and mentoring medical students and residents in both clinical and surgical settings, contributing to the department's didactic teaching program, and engaging in clinical research. Faculty members are encouraged to share their research findings at national and regional conferences, and those with a strong research focus may be granted protected time to pursue clinical or bench research.
