    BASIC FUNCTIONManagerial responsibility and oversight of the CRE and C&I loans, as well as loans that are risk rated special mention or worse, delinquent more than 15 days past due and /or loans requiring special attention as directed by the Director of Portfolio Management. The Sr. Portfolio Manager will be responsible for monitoring both the Real Estate and C&I Portfolios including, but not limited to, annual reviews and analysis of financial information, identification of negative trends, report preparation and market conditions. This role will coordinate with third party vendors and various regulatory bodies. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES The Sr. Portfolio Manager is responsible for monitoring and assessing the credit risk of the banks commercial loan portfolio. The role entails leading credit monitoring, control, and administration of a portfolio of borrowers with a view to identifying potential credit issues early. Effectively mentor a team of Portfolio Managers. Provide ongoing credit oversight and portfolio management of the CRE and C&I loan portfolio through annual reviews, monitoring of covenant compliance and the creation and maintenance of “Watch List” credits. Interact with Loan Officers, Borrowers or CPAs to obtain necessary financial information required to complete annual reviews. Completes annual reviews, loan renewals, maturities, and asset quality reports on a timely basis Proactively manages the portfolio to both maximize profitability and ensure strong asset quality through consistent and timely identification and resolution of issues as well as accurate assessment and assignment of loan risk ratings. Consult with customers regarding their financial performance trends and pro-actively anticipate and manage deteriorating credits. Manage and track borrowing bases, A/R Aging, Field Exams, etc. Manage the Stress Test Data Collection Process with the Portfolio Managers. Manage portfolio risk on a forward and proactive basis with respect to economic and industry trends, borrower concentrations, industry concentrations, likelihood of default and loss and criticized and classified loan migration. Recommend specific action plans upon identifying increased borrower credit risk to mitigate non performing / non-accrual loan status. Monitor and resolve past dues working with the Relationship Manager. Assist with site visits / property inspections as needed. Assist SVP Director of Portfolio Management with monthly reporting and special projects as required. JOB REQUIREMENTS Education: College Degree Experience: Minimum of 15+ years related work experience (Lending, underwriting CRE / C&I loans, portfolio management, managing and mentoring employees, collections, bankruptcy, note sales and foreclosure). Formal credit training required. Strong analytical and quantitative skills. Excellent written/verbal communication skills required. Ability to work independently and meet specified deadlines. Working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, CRM Platforms, etc. Strong credit skills, analytical skills, and financial acumen. Uses time effectively and efficiently; and keep projects/tasks moving forward within a reasonable and quick timeframe. In the absence of, or assisting the Financial Center Manager, responsible for the overall branch management including but not limited to operations, sales management and productivity. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for managing and executing the operations of the teller line Is the second in charge in the branch and is the acting manager in the absence of the Financial Center Manager Ensures all FCSRs are proficient with operations and compliance as it relates to their job Daily/Weekly/Monthly scheduling and coordination of teller line workflow Operates a teller draw and/or fills in on the platform as needed Ensures all FCSR's and themselves actively & successfully participate in the internal sales process on a daily basis to meet all referral and sales expectations Assists the Financial Center Manager with the accurate completion of the branch monthly self-audit program Observes, coaches and develops FCSRs on an ongoing basis Recommends and implements the performance management process with FCSRs as needed Required to travel & work at other branches as needed Performs other duties as assigned SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Supervises Financial Center Service Reps SKILLS Good interpersonal skills, including listening, written and verbal communication Ability to work with a wide variety of personalities in a courteous and professional manner Solid math and analytical skills Ability to understand and follow safety and security practices Strong relationship building skills Proven ability to build relationships through consultative conversations and to identify customer needs and translate those needs to sales opportunities Strong customer service/advocacy skills Good organizational and time management skills Good PC skills; and the ability to quickly learn other computer programs, including Microsoft office Ability to evaluate others on their performance Ability to effectively coach, develop and manage staff performance Education High School diploma or GED is required. Hours/Duration Part-time schedule: typically 4-5 hours per day as coordinated with Edison BOE and Spencer Savings Bank. Duration will be determined jointly with the school. Dress Attire Business casual is required. Examples include khakis or dress pants paired with a button-down shirt or blouse. Closed toe shoes are required.
