BASIC FUNCTION
Responsible for the cultivation and development of Centers of Influence (COIs) that refer profitable new business relationships that have strong commercial non-interest bearing deposit, cash management and commercial lending needs. Also works closely with the Market Manager, Retail Financial Center Management, the Business Banker, and the C&I and CRE Lenders in support of the above mentioned expectations. The BDO will focus on developing relationships with “deposit rich” industries and companies with annual revenues greater than $5mm.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Cultivate, develop, and leverage Centers of Influence that will refer to non-interest bearing DDA relationships, cash management and commercial lending prospects to the bank.
Gathers and presents completed loan package for underwriting which includes financial information, loan structure, pricing recommendation, collateral description and write-up outlining company history, type of business, customer base, purpose of loan, and other supporting information.
Develops and implements a business development plan annually
Develop business relationships through their COIs, networking events, prospecting and telemarketing within assigned markets. Participates in the Retail Bank's activities regarding community involvement.
Cross sells the bank's complete product line including BankingPlus, Merchant and Cash Management services.
Tracks and reports business development activities on monthly basis.
Participates in monthly business development meetings with Business Banker, Retail Bank Management and participates in individual branch sales meeting.
Participates in sales calls with Retail Bank Management, and C & I & CRE Lending partners to uncover non-interest bearing deposit, cash management & commercial lending opportunities.
Works closely with the Market Manager and Director of Retail Administration in providing feedback on service and retail sales related issues.
Keeps abreast of the products, applications, technical services, market conditions and competitive activities.

Education:
