SWD Inc. opened for business in March 1980 with three employees in a 9,000 sq. ft. leased facility and began black oxiding, cleaning, and pickling operations with used equipment. In late 1980, the company began passivating stainless steel and in 1981 purchased Fastener Sorting Corporation. Today, a recognized leader in the Metal Finishing and Fastener Sorting fields, SWD Inc. has over 200 employees and runs three shifts per day in its 165,000 sq. ft. facility just west of Chicago in Addison, Illinois.

What We're Seeking:
SWD Inc. is in the process of adding 3 new lines to our production departments and is expanding our Addison, IL. facility. That means we are growing, and growing fast! We are seeking a full-time Dip Spin Machine Operator. We have openings on both our 1st, 2nd shifts and 3rd shift. This full time role must also be able to work Monday-Saturday!
- 1st shift: 7am - 3pm, starting at $18.00/hr
- 2nd shift: 3pm-11pm, starting at $18.75/hr
- 3rd shift : 11pm - 7am, starting at $19.50/hr
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist foreman with delegated duties
- Load jobs into the barrels as required
- Assist in loading and unloading of metal parts
- Review of shop orders
- Drive a lift truck
- Knowledge of proper safety policies and procedures
- Assist maintenance department technician in troubleshooting line problems
Qualifications:
- This is an Entry Level Machine Operator position(training provided!)
- GED or High School Diploma (preferred not required)
- Ability to lift 40 lbs
- Manufacturing experience preferred
- You must be available to work weekends

*Job Objective: *Responsible for the set-up and operation of spin lathes to create and form parts.
*Essential Job Functions: *
* Ability to read and understand manufacturing work orders and complete documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
* Setup and operation of various machines such as hand spinning machines, hydro spinning machines and CNC spinning machines.
* Ability to use a variety of tools to form parts.
* Inspect parts against blueprints and specifications using measuring tools; ensuring product meets specified quality standards and correct dimensions.
* Frequently lifts 15 - 25lbs, lifts 50 - 70lbs throughout the workday.
* Ability to understand and follow instruction.
* Standing the entire the workday.
* Using body leverage to form and shape aluminum parts.

*Work Environment*
* Usual working days/hours: Monday thru Thursday 6:00am - 4:30pm; Friday 6:00am - 3:30pm. Working hours are subject to change based company needs, may require working on Saturdays.
