The CES ROC Operator position is responsible for safely operation and monitoring of photovoltaic solar power and Battery Storage plants located around the United States. The ROC Operations works on a Dupont shift rotation. This position will be for BESS primarily that involves schedule is 7 days on 7 days off rotation of 12 hr. on nights. This schedule will require you to work weekends and holidays. Additionally, this will transition into a Dupont schedule in Q1 2026. ROC Operator main duties include fault evaluation, alarm monitoring and troubleshooting, work order ticket creation, and support of field teams and remote commissioning testing of new Solar and Battery assets. Specific knowledge or work experience relating to Solar and BESS operations is not required but preferred.
Key Responsibilities
● The ROC Operator is responsible for directing, monitoring and coordinating the operation of CES Solar, BESS, and wind assets from the 24/7 Operations Control Center
● The ROC Operator ensures that operations comply with all applicable North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) standards and practices for Medium Impact Assets
● The ROC Operator will need to work independently with guidance only in complex situations
● Monitor real-time control center operations and the performance of CES's fleet of managed assets while applying established procedures in order to guarantee safety of company assets and personnel while maximizing availability and generation
● Ensure compliance with all regulatory and contractual requirements through adherence to all operational procedures, processes, and policies
● Report and document the status of forced and planned plant outages to Regional Transmission Organization / Independent System Operators (RTO/ISO)
● Evaluate system alarms and irregularities, taking corrective action as outlined in established guidelines while Ensuring quality and accuracy of real-time generation information being telemetered to RTO/ISO
● Dispatch field and emergency service personnel when appropriate
● Remotely direct electrical substation switching at facilities using a detailed understanding of the Company's electrical switching practices
● Assist Field Service Technicians with troubleshooting on a daily basis
● Record operating actions taken during shifts in the operator's log
● Utilize accurate and efficient three-part communication skills on inbound and outbound telephone conversations
● Complete ROC Operator qualification process/training.
● Complete applicable safety and regulatory/compliance training requirements
● Identify process improvements; include reduction of non-value-added operations, increased productivity opportunities, increased safety opportunities, etc.
● Adhere to cybersecurity protocols and best practices when using SCADA systems, remote access tools, and communication platforms to protect CES assets and data from unauthorized access.
● Maintain vigilance against phishing, malware, and other online threats by following CES safe online practices, promptly reporting suspicious activity, and completing required cybersecurity training

Experience/Qualifications/Education Required
● Associate's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent time in service in related solar and BESS, from a control room setting preferred.
● Strong understanding of electrical utility systems.
● Ability to use multiple SCADA software applications
● Excellent organizational and time management skills
● Compensation range will be determined by years of experience in power system operations, power production, or related energy operations
● Ability to obtain Certifications (such as those required by NERC, RTOs, and ISOs) as needed and at CES' expense.

• Builds project schedule that timelines from time of receipt, to drawing schedule, to equipment arrival at PSI, to fabrication including all services, to testing, to final assembly, to shipment.
• Purchases 80-90% of all equipment once loaded for all job orders.
• Partners with Purchasing/Expediting group to ensure timely deliveries and put customer O&M Books together for job orders. Also, partners with Planners for scheduling shop floor deliveries.
• Reviews all BOM's and approve them and drawings for construction.
• Partners with vendors on timing for projects.
• Travel to customer locations for sales and project presentations.
• Submits data sheets to engineering firms/customers for review on engineered projects.
• Schedules all testing for final completion.
• Schedule/plan and facilitate meetings with customers, vendors, and various company departments.
• Other duties, as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• High school diploma or work equivalent
• 3+ years industry experience preferred
• Project management experience required.
• Proficient Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) skills
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Strong attention to detail, accurate, and well organized.
• Cooperative and willing to assist others and work in a team environment
• Willing to travel up to 30%
• Ability to write technical documents
• Must have current, valid driver's license and acceptable record at all times
• Adept at negotiate pricing, terms, and project level details with multiple vendors
• Knowledge and technical expertise to read P&ID's, GA's, small level of electrical schematic drawings, C&E document, Haz-Op Documents
• Ability to obtain technical expertise in packaging capabilities including LACT's, SWD's, Meter Skids, Filter Skids, Compressor skids/buildings, Chemical Skids, Pipeline Skids, etc.
• Ability to obtain technical expertise in various core products including air compression, gas compression, pumps, blowers, generators, filters, etc.

Job Description
Here at The Exploration Company, we are developing, producing, and operating Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle that can eventually be refuelled in orbit and that can carry cargo - and potentially humans in the longer run.
As a Nyx Crew Systems Engineering Intern, Mechanical/Structures, you will be at the forefront of our crewed vehicle development. You will be instrumental in enabling our mission by leading development of requirements, implementing early hardware prototypes, and testing Nyx Crew systems designs.
Key Responsibilities:
In your role as the Nyx Crew Systems Engineering Intern, Mechanical/Structures, your day-to-day duties will include:
Conduct rapid hands-on prototype development, including designing and building mockups and functional systems
Conduct qualitative and quantitative human-in-the-loop evaluations of Nyx Crew systems
Supporting hardware integration, manufacturing, and integration activities
Support the US engineering office with tasks related to the Nyx Crew vehicle mechanical and structural systems, including:
Requirements definition
Conceptual design
CAD modeling, structures and loads analysis, ECLSS modeling
Manufacturing, integration and test
Desired Qualifications:
Applicants should be currently enrolled students able to work full-time for a period of at least 10 weeks, beginning in January 2026.
Strong candidates will have:
Undergraduate or graduate studies in engineering, applied physics, computer science, or a related field
Strong hands-on project experience through student teams, work projects, personal projects, or hobbies
Independent, self-starter attitude
Due to federal regulations (e.g., ITAR/EAR), applicants must be U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents (e.g., current Green Card holders).
