Position Summary

Ashe Memorial Hospital is looking for a compassionate, patient-centered Family Medicine Sports Medicine Fellow physician to join our team in Ashe County, NC.

Our practice is affiliated with Ashe Memorial Hospital and conveniently located on campus at the hospital. Candidates must be Board Certified or Board Eligible.

• Medication Assisted Therapy program combines behavioral therapy and medications to treat substance use disorders, including opioids

• Established, comprehensive behavioral health service line with grant to transition to a CCBHC
• Addiction Medicine/Psychiatry Fellowship preferred

Arkansas Hospice and Palliative Care is the largest provider of hospice and palliative medicine services in the state, serving 43 of the 75 Arkansas counties. We operate 3 inpatient hospice facilities and our palliative care program works in 3 hospitals as palliative care consultants and started a community based palliative care program 18 months ago with plans to rapidly expand throughout the state. You would be joining one of the largest non-profit hospices in the country and was awarded “Best Places to Work in Arkansas” in 2020. This position is in Searcy, Arkansas, which has a very robust academic graduate medical education program. They have over 40 residents that are in several different residencies: Family, Internal and Emergency Medicine, Psychiatry and a transitional year residency, including medical students that rotate through the program. Searcy is a very family oriented community with a local college, abundant outdoor activities and 45 minutes from the state capital.
