Essential Functions:
Monitors play to oversee the safety of players and ensure the particular sport's and YMCA rules are followed.
Ensures the gym(s) are ready for games with physical setting and equipment.
Sets up and tears down all equipment needed for play prior to start up time.
Communicates and enforces sports rules effectively while providing leadership during all games according to the YMCA policy.
Maintains cleanliness of the gym area.
Builds relationships with members and program participants.
Ensures safety by communicating and enforcing any rules, policies and guidelines at participants' comprehension level.
Ensures safety by checking for hazardous conditions and making sure all safety equipment is properly placed and in proper working condition.
Follows all sports program rules, dress code, policies and guidelines.
Tracks and posts league standings.
Posts schedules and events promptly prior to the league or event date.
Ensures all sports program information is communicated in writing to the Program Director, Membership Director, and Front Desk Staff in an accurate and timely manner.
Creates new ways to promote sports through new corporate leagues, tournaments, camps, etc.
Creates an atmosphere that is based on fair play and incorporates it in a manner that is both demonstrative and professional.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 15 years of age.
High School diploma preferred.
Six months or more of related officiating experience preferred

* Arranges for storage at the conclusion of the season-
all jackets, sweaters, shoes, hats and any other coaching
staff equipment purchased by the athletic fund.
* Attends all Athletic Department meetings unless
excused by the Athletic Administrator.
* Is in attendance at all interscholastic contests involving
his/her team, at home or away, unless there is an
extenuating circumstance.
* Keeps expenditures within the budget.
* Is cognizant of the tremendous influence coaches and
sports have on athletes. The Head Coach must approach
the task of coaching at all times with the thought in mind that
what one says and does, both desirable and undesirable,
has tremendous consequence upon the actions and
reactions of the young adults.
* Secures athletic scholarships for deserving seniors.
* Assists in the planning of special events such as assemblies,
Homecoming, pep rallies, banquets, etc.

Job Summary

Job Type: Part-time / On-Call (Per Game Basis) The Basketball Official provides certified officiating services for league and tournament basketball games at the DSCC Fitness Center. This role ensures all games are conducted safely, fairly, and in accordance with standard basketball rules and DSCC league requirements. Officials must arrive early, brief new participants, enforce rules, maintain game integrity, and deliver official game results. This position requires professionalism, strong knowledge of basketball regulations, and clear communication skills.

A certified basketball official with prior experience officiating league or competitive games.

Job Summary (Essential Functions)
As the Head Swim Coach at Scioto Country Club, you will be responsible for managing the swimming team, overseeing assistant coaches, and maintaining regular communication with staff and families. Responsible for scheduling and coordinating swim meets.
Job Tasks/Duties
Schedules and attends practice sessions for the swim team.
Organizes all aspects of swim meets including scheduling individual race participants, recording and posting start times and distributing race ribbons.
Schedules and leads all in the club's coaches' meetings.
Summer: Scioto Participates in the PCCAL Private Country Club Athletic League
Winter: The team participates in Ohio Local Swim Championships
Maintains presence during swim team events.
Maintains swim team and event equipment.
Organizes swim meet volunteers.
Works closely with Dive Coach
Delegates task to ensure the successful operation of the program
Performs other tasks as required by General Manager.
Licenses and Special Requirements
USA Swimming coach in good standing.
American Swimming Coaches Association (ASCA) Level 2 or above certification.
American Red Cross Basic First Aid required, training on AED units and possession of a current Red Cross CPR card.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Working conditions are often, hot, humid, slippery and wet.
Able to tolerate the smell of chlorine.
Ability to project voice and articulate instructions to swimmers.
Able to meet and perform the physical requirements and to work effectively in an environment, which is typical of this position.
