SUMMARY OF THE POSITION: Fiber and Foam Cutters work to keep production workers stocked with appropriately sized foam pieces for cushion production. This position requires a close attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while balancing accuracy, limiting waste, and ensuring safety. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES + 1 Takes cushion order for the following day's production and breaks it down by foam type, size, and quantity. + 2 Keeps accurate count of what has been done and what still needs to be done in order to reduce undercutting and overcutting. + 3 Involves sorting through many patterns and drawing/tracing. + 4 Uses scrap foam at any and all opportunities to help eliminate waste. + 5 Completes order in a timely manner. Groups similar cuts together to help maximize efficiency. + 6 Pushes cut blocks to the next operation, horizontal slitter, to prepare them for the production line. EDUCATIONAL AND OTHER SKILL REQUIREMENTS + 1 High school diploma preferred. + 2 Previous Bandsaw experience preferred. QUALIFICATIONS/OTHER REQUIREMENTS: + 1.
