Michael began his career by pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1998, and proceeded to work for several years in operating rooms, intensive care facilities, and Alzheimer’s care units. Thereafter, he served as the Executive Director of a Columbus-based care center while earning his Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) designation.

In 2002, shortly after receiving his license, Michael started working for Sprenger Health Care Systems as the Quality Assurance Director, ensuring the highest level of quality and care were provided to all residents. He was promoted to Chief Operations Officer in 2012 and now oversees every facility and division under the Sprenger umbrella.

Through his versatile experience in health care, Michael maintains a clear vision for Sprenger to continue national growth while maintaining company standards and exceeding customer expectations.

Nursing management managed by bullying, screaming and threatening. We were always doing the job of 1.5 people, but got threatened if 1 paper of little significance wasn't completed.
