Tunnelling Superintendent - Travelling
Our Client is an established national contractor with the ability to provide turn-key trench less installation of underground utilities. Specialising in a variety of methods including but not limited to: jack and bore, pilot tube (guided) auger boring and unguided, pipe ramming, tunnelling, micro-tunnelling and hand tunnelling in rock and soft ground conditions we are able to complete any project.
Due to continued growth, we have an immediate need for Travelling Superintendents.
Directly supervises single or multiple crews.
Demonstrates and enforces the highest level of safety to protect our employees, the public, and properties.
Works with General Manager, Project Managers and Field staff to ensure project efficiencies, productivity, and profit
Provides leadership through training and development of other crew members to enhance skills.
Assists with the recruitment of qualified team members
Participates in progress meetings, scheduling and bid reviews.
Experience/Knowledge in the operation a variety of tunnel equipment including but not limited to: Hydraulic track excavators, Rough terrain cranes, Akkerman and Taylor Pipe Jacking/Tunnelling Systems using TBM's.
Demonstrated ability to identify hazards and enforce safety rules and precautions on job sites.
Strong communication skills - verbal and written
Desire to learn and train in new methods of operation
Ability to learn/use technology including Microsoft office suite and Heavy Job
Travel is a requirement. Typical rotation is 17 days working, 5 days off.
