Sprinkler Pipefitter (3rd Shift)

* Performs routine maintenance on sprinkler systems, wet or dry.* Installs, tests, and repairs sprinkler switches; flows, tamper, and or pressure switches on wet or dry sprinkler systems.* Maintains and repairs the different clappers, valves, water gongs, pipe structures, retard chambers, as well as any other devices or trim parts necessary for normal operations.* Uses knowledge and know-how of fire pump controls.* Takes down and isolates sprinkler systems for renovation or repairs.* Performs the fire suppression duties necessary to maintain all buildings and structures in good repair.* Assists with installation, inspections, periodic tests, maintenance, and repairs installed suppression systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications and National Fire Protection Association standards.* May be asked to cross-train with the fire alarm team on occasions.* Inspects fire suppression equipment visually and replaces defective components.* Checks pressure gauges on suppression system storage containers and recharges or replaces containers.* Familiar with Kitchen Hood Fire Suppression systems.* Plans and lays out work from blueprints, drawings, models, and verbal and written instructions.* Uses a variety of hand tools, portable power tools, and standard measuring instruments.* Plans, organizes work, and meets all deadlines.* Performs a variety of tasks in any single day.* Coordinates with other trade’s personnel and the warehouse personnel in the identification of proper and correct materials, parts assemblies, and requirements for a variety of requisitions necessary for the job/task.* Submits outage request as required.* Responds to emergency site maintenance as required.* Performs on call and preventive maintenance duties as necessary.* Operates Government or Wolf Creek-owned motor vehicles and/or other equipment.* Performs various lower classified duties such as (but not limited to) file maintenance, workspace cleanup, maintain warehouse space and telephone answering as required.* Supports other department staff as needed or directed.* Adheres to the established Wolf Creek safety and personnel policies and standard operating procedures.* Ability to work overtime as needed* Performs other duties as assigned
